Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Customer Success Representative Jobs at Sunrun Jobs
Tailor your resume to solar service workflows
Sunrun's Customer Success roles center on post-installation support and homeowner education. Highlight experience managing service escalations, utility billing questions, or technical troubleshooting rather than generic sales metrics, which align more directly with what Sunrun screens for.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter by Construction and Real Estate employers with a Customer Success hiring history. Migrate Mate surfaces Sunrun's sponsorship track record for this specific role, saving you time that would otherwise go toward cold outreach to employers who don't sponsor.
Ask recruiters about cap-exempt filing options early
Sunrun operates solar projects at schools and nonprofits, which can qualify for cap-exempt H-1B petitions through affiliated institutions. During screening calls, ask whether any of Sunrun's project partnerships open that pathway before assuming you're subject to the annual lottery.
Prepare a credential evaluation for non-U.S. degrees
Customer Success roles at Sunrun often require a bachelor's degree. If yours is from outside the United States, get a NACES-approved equivalency evaluation before the offer stage. Delays in providing this can push back your I-129 filing and your start date.
Understand PERM timing if targeting a Green Card path
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through PERM requires DOL to certify that no qualified U.S. worker is available. For Customer Success roles, where the talent pool is broad, PERM recruitment documentation needs to be tight. Raise your long-term immigration goals with the hiring manager before the offer is finalized.

Find Customer Success Representative at Sunrun JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sunrun sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Success Representatives?
Yes, Sunrun sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Success Representatives. The role qualifies as a specialty occupation when it requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, communications, or a technical discipline. Sponsorship availability can depend on the specific position and team, so confirming willingness to sponsor early in the interview process is the right move.
How do I apply for Customer Success Representative jobs at Sunrun?
Apply directly through Sunrun's careers portal or browse open roles filtered by sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your application to Sunrun's residential solar service context, emphasizing homeowner communication, case management, or technical support experience. Mentioning your visa status upfront in your cover note avoids wasted rounds if a specific role has sponsorship restrictions.
Which visa types are commonly used for Customer Success Representative roles at Sunrun?
The most common pathways are H-1B for degreed professionals, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates completing STEM or business programs, and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories. Sunrun also sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions for longer-tenured employees, though that process typically begins after you've established yourself in the role.
What qualifications does Sunrun typically expect for Customer Success Representative roles?
Sunrun generally looks for a bachelor's degree paired with customer-facing experience, ideally in a technical, utilities, or home services environment. Strong communication skills and comfort navigating CRM platforms are consistently weighted heavily. For visa sponsorship purposes, the degree field should relate to the role's responsibilities, as USCIS evaluates specialty occupation status based on the direct connection between your education and the position.
What does the visa sponsorship process timeline look like for this role at Sunrun?
For H-1B sponsorship, Sunrun's HR or immigration counsel files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL first, which typically takes around seven business days. The I-129 petition follows, with standard USCIS processing ranging from two to five months. If you're on OPT with a cap-gap situation or moving from another status, build at least three to four months of lead time between your offer date and intended start date to avoid authorization gaps.
