Frame hospitality experience for U.S. standards
Sweetgreen values candidates who can speak to guest satisfaction metrics, complaint resolution, and team coordination. Translate any food service or customer operations experience into outcomes, resolution rates, retention, or service speed, before applying.
Target Sweetgreen's support roles strategically
Sweetgreen posts Customer Support positions across corporate and field-level tiers. Roles tied to restaurant operations or guest experience teams are more likely to sit within departments that have initiated PERM-based sponsorship than purely seasonal or entry-level openings.
Clarify sponsorship eligibility before offer negotiations
Sweetgreen's sponsorship history for this function centers on EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways. Before accepting an offer, confirm in writing whether the role is eligible for employer-sponsored permanent residence and at what point in tenure the process typically begins.
Understand PERM timelines in fast-casual hiring
DOL PERM processing can take a year or longer before USCIS even receives the petition. In a high-turnover industry like food and beverage, align with your hiring manager on role stability expectations so the sponsorship process isn't disrupted by restructuring.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsorship-verified openings
Customer Support openings at Sweetgreen can move quickly and aren't always labeled as visa-friendly. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Sweetgreen roles tied to verified sponsorship history so you're applying where the pathway actually exists.
Prepare credentials that meet EB-3 documentation requirements
EB-3 sponsorship requires demonstrating that your qualifications meet the specific job duties Sweetgreen defines in the PERM application. Gather transcripts, professional references, and any customer service certifications before the employer begins recruitment documentation.

Find Customer Support at Sweetgreen JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sweetgreen sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Supports?
Sweetgreen's documented sponsorship activity for Customer Support roles has been through permanent residence categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, rather than H-1B. H-1B visas require the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, which is a higher bar for customer support positions. If you're on an H-1B with a different employer, transferring status is possible, but confirm with Sweetgreen's HR team whether they'll support it for this function.
How do I apply for Customer Support jobs at Sweetgreen?
Applications go through Sweetgreen's careers portal, where roles are listed by function and location. For sponsorship-eligible openings specifically, Migrate Mate surfaces verified Customer Support positions at Sweetgreen so you can prioritize roles where immigration support has been part of the hiring process. Tailor your application to emphasize guest experience outcomes and cross-functional coordination, which align with how Sweetgreen structures its support teams.
Which visa types are commonly used for Customer Support roles at Sweetgreen?
Sweetgreen's sponsorship for this role category has centered on EB-3 and EB-2 Green Card classifications, which require employer-initiated PERM labor certification through the DOL. These are permanent residence pathways rather than temporary work visas. If you currently hold valid work authorization through OPT, a dependent EAD, or another visa, you may be able to start in the role while the Green Card process is initiated.
What qualifications and experience does Sweetgreen expect for Customer Support roles?
Sweetgreen typically looks for candidates with direct experience in guest-facing or customer operations environments, particularly in food service, hospitality, or retail. Familiarity with complaint resolution workflows, point-of-sale or CRM systems, and the ability to maintain brand standards under volume pressure are commonly valued. For sponsored roles, employers must demonstrate to the DOL that the position has defined requirements, so documented experience in those areas strengthens both your application and the PERM filing.
How do I navigate the sponsorship timeline for a Customer Support role at Sweetgreen?
Employer-sponsored Green Card processes in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories begin with PERM, which involves DOL-supervised recruitment documentation and can take over a year before USCIS adjudicates the petition. You'd typically need to be employed at Sweetgreen for a period before sponsorship begins. Depending on your country of birth, priority date backlogs at USCIS can add significant wait time after the initial petition is approved, so starting early conversations with HR about timing is practical.
