Frame your experience around digital operations
Sweetgreen's customer operations function is deeply tied to its app, kiosk, and digital order management systems. Highlight experience with omnichannel support tools, ticketing platforms, or restaurant tech stacks when building your application materials.
Target roles with PERM-eligible seniority signals
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship requires DOL PERM labor certification, which Sweetgreen has used for operations managers. Applying to roles with explicit supervisory scope or cross-functional ownership strengthens the case that the position meets PERM's specialty criteria.
Research Sweetgreen's regional expansion markets
Sweetgreen opens Customer Operations Manager roles when entering or scaling new markets. Checking for postings tied to expansion cities gives you a window before headcount is locked and sponsorship decisions are already made.
Ask about sponsorship timing before final interviews
EB-3 PERM timelines run 12 to 24 months from filing to approval, not including visa queue waits. Clarify during the offer stage whether Sweetgreen's HR team initiates PERM concurrently with your start date or waits through a tenure period first.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Sweetgreen openings by sponsorship
Customer Operations Manager postings at Sweetgreen don't always flag sponsorship eligibility in the job description. Use Migrate Mate to surface Sweetgreen roles verified for employment-based sponsorship, so you're not guessing before you apply.
Align your credentials to food and beverage operations norms
PERM requires Sweetgreen to document that no qualified U.S. worker was available. A background that combines customer experience leadership with food service, hospitality tech, or QSR operations makes it harder to find an equivalent domestic candidate, which works in your favor.

Does Sweetgreen sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Operations Managers?
Sweetgreen's documented sponsorship activity for Customer Operations Manager roles has been through employment-based Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, rather than H-1B. H-1B sponsorship is possible but less commonly associated with this function at Sweetgreen. If you're currently on H-1B status through another employer, you'd typically need your new employer to file an H-1B transfer, which Sweetgreen would need to agree to separately.
Which visa types are commonly used for Customer Operations Manager roles at Sweetgreen?
The EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories are the primary sponsorship paths Sweetgreen has used for Customer Operations Manager positions. EB-3 is the more common route for roles that require a bachelor's degree and relevant experience but don't necessarily meet the advanced degree threshold for EB-2. Both require DOL PERM labor certification before USCIS can adjudicate the immigrant petition.
What qualifications or experience does Sweetgreen expect for Customer Operations Manager roles?
Sweetgreen typically looks for candidates with experience managing customer support or operations teams, familiarity with digital ordering platforms or CRM tools, and a background in food and beverage, hospitality, or consumer-facing tech. A bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field is generally expected. Cross-functional project management experience, particularly coordinating between restaurant operations and technology teams, is a meaningful differentiator.
How do I apply for Customer Operations Manager jobs at Sweetgreen?
You can find current Customer Operations Manager openings at Sweetgreen through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles with verified employment-based sponsorship eligibility so you're not spending time on applications that won't support your visa situation. When you apply, tailor your resume to Sweetgreen's operational and digital product context. Sweetgreen's hiring process for this role typically involves a recruiter screen, a case-based or operational interview, and a final round with senior leadership.
How long does the Green Card sponsorship process take if Sweetgreen offers to sponsor me?
If Sweetgreen agrees to sponsor you through EB-3, the PERM labor certification with the DOL alone takes 12 to 24 months under standard processing. After PERM approval, USCIS adjudicates the I-140 immigrant petition, and then you enter the visa queue, which for Indian nationals can stretch considerably longer due to per-country backlogs. Starting this conversation early in the offer process gives you the clearest picture of your realistic timeline.
