Tailor your resume for distribution operations
Sysco's Customer Service roles sit inside a logistics-heavy food distribution business. Highlight experience with order management systems, account coordination, or B2B client support. Generic retail customer service experience reads as a weaker fit than supply chain-adjacent roles.
Search verified sponsorship roles on Migrate Mate
Filter for Customer Service openings at Sysco by visa type on Migrate Mate to surface only roles where sponsorship is confirmed. This cuts out the guesswork of cold-applying to postings that may not support your specific visa category.
Understand how TN status applies here
Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN Management Consultant or similar category, but the role title and job duties need to align with a qualifying USMCA profession. Confirm the specific job description matches a recognized TN classification before assuming eligibility.
Ask recruiters directly about PERM timeline expectations
If you're targeting an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card through Sysco, the PERM labor certification process is employer-driven and can take a year or more before USCIS sees a petition. Ask during the offer stage whether the company initiates PERM for this role level.
Prepare for E-Verify on your first day
Sysco participates in E-Verify, the federal employment eligibility system. Bring original identity and work authorization documents to onboarding. A mismatch or administrative error can delay your start date, so verify your I-9 supporting documents are current and match your immigration records exactly.

Find Customer Service at Sysco JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sysco sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service?
Sysco's H-1B sponsorship activity is concentrated in roles that meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning the position typically requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Customer Service roles at Sysco tend to be supported through EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, and TN pathways rather than H-1B. If H-1B sponsorship matters to you, confirm the specific role's eligibility with the recruiter before applying.
How do I apply for Customer Service jobs at Sysco?
Applications go through Sysco's careers portal, where you can filter by role type and location. Before applying, use Migrate Mate to identify which open Customer Service positions at Sysco have a confirmed sponsorship history for your visa type. This helps you prioritize roles where your work authorization is already a known fit, rather than discovering sponsorship limitations late in the process.
Which visa types does Sysco commonly use for Customer Service roles?
Sysco has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for roles in this function. F-1 OPT is the most accessible entry point for recent graduates, while TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose job duties align with a qualifying USMCA profession. Permanent residency pathways through PERM labor certification are possible but depend on the seniority and structure of the specific role.
What qualifications does Sysco expect for Customer Service roles?
Sysco typically looks for experience in B2B account management, order coordination, or client-facing roles within distribution, logistics, or food service environments. Familiarity with ERP or order management systems is a meaningful differentiator. For roles where PERM or EB-3 sponsorship is on the table, the job requirements must reflect what DOL considers standard for the position, so overstating qualifications can complicate the labor certification process.
How do I plan my timeline if Sysco is sponsoring my Green Card?
Green Card sponsorship through Sysco starts with PERM labor certification filed with the DOL, which can take 12 to 18 months before USCIS receives the I-140 petition. Processing continues from there depending on your priority date and country of birth. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration and any STEM extension window against this timeline so you maintain continuous work authorization throughout the process.
