Align your credentials to DOL prevailing wage levels
Sysco's PERM-based sponsorship for Supply Chain roles requires your offered salary to meet DOL prevailing wage requirements for your job zone. Pull the current wage data from FLAG.dol.gov before negotiating your offer so there are no surprises during filing.
Target distribution center and regional roles
Sysco's Supply Chain hiring is concentrated in its regional distribution centers, not just corporate offices. Search by specific operating companies like Sysco Houston or Sysco Metro New York, where logistics and procurement roles are posted independently and may have faster hiring cycles.
Position your OPT start date around Sysco's hiring calendar
Food distribution ramps up hiring ahead of summer and holiday peak seasons. Timing your OPT activation to align with those windows, typically spring and late fall, improves your odds of landing a role with enough runway for your employer to file a timely STEM OPT extension.
Clarify sponsorship scope before your final interview round
Sysco sponsors both temporary work visas and Green Card pathways for Supply Chain, but not every regional operating company handles immigration the same way. Ask directly whether the sponsoring entity is the local operating company or Sysco corporate before you reach the offer stage.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Supply Chain roles by visa type
Sysco posts Supply Chain roles across dozens of subsidiaries, making it hard to identify which listings are open to sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Sysco Supply Chain roles that match your visa category so you're only applying where there's a real path forward.
Prepare a supply chain credential portfolio before applying
Sysco's Supply Chain hiring managers look for certifications like APICS CSCP or CPIM alongside degree credentials. Compiling your transcripts, professional licenses, and any degree equivalency evaluations from a NACES-recognized service before you apply avoids delays if Sysco's immigration team requests documentation quickly.

Find Supply Chain at Sysco JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sysco sponsor H-1B visas for Supply Chain roles?
Sysco's Supply Chain sponsorship activity has focused on permanent residency pathways like EB-2 and EB-3 rather than H-1B transfers, alongside F-1 OPT and TN visas. If you're seeking H-1B sponsorship specifically, confirm with the recruiting team early, as sponsorship decisions can vary by operating company and role level.
Which visa types does Sysco commonly sponsor for Supply Chain positions?
For Supply Chain roles, Sysco has sponsored F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying logistics and operations roles, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for longer-term hires. The right pathway depends on your nationality, education, and where you are in your career.
How do I apply for Supply Chain jobs at Sysco?
You can apply directly through Sysco's careers portal, but the company operates dozens of regional subsidiaries, and Supply Chain roles are often posted at the local operating company level rather than centrally. Migrate Mate aggregates these listings in one place, letting you filter by visa type and location so you can find the right Sysco entity to target.
What qualifications does Sysco expect for Supply Chain roles?
Most Supply Chain positions at Sysco require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, or a related field, along with relevant industry experience. Professional certifications such as APICS CSCP or CPIM strengthen your application. For international candidates, having a NACES-recognized credential evaluation of your degree prepared in advance can accelerate the hiring and sponsorship process.
How do I know when to start the sponsorship process for a Sysco Supply Chain offer?
Timeline depends on your visa type. TN status can often be obtained at the border or a port of entry within days of an offer. EB-2 and EB-3 PERM sponsorship typically takes one to two years from the start of the PERM labor certification process. For F-1 OPT candidates, USCIS recommends filing your OPT application at least 90 days before your intended start date.
