Target distribution center roles strategically
Sysco operates regional distribution hubs across the country, and hiring activity varies by location. Research which facilities have active Logistics openings before applying, since a role at a high-volume hub is more likely to lead to a formal sponsorship conversation.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Sysco Logistics openings
Not every Logistics posting at Sysco explicitly mentions sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to surface roles filtered by visa type, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship has been confirmed rather than guessing from the job description.
Understand the PERM process for permanent sponsorship
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship requires your employer to file a PERM labor certification with the DOL before USCIS adjudicates your petition. In Logistics, this process often takes 12 to 18 months, so discuss long-term sponsorship intent before accepting an offer.
Verify your TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN status covers certain professional categories, and supply chain or logistics management roles can qualify if your job duties and degree align with the approved TN classification. Review the DOL's USMCA occupation list and confirm the fit before your offer stage.

Find Logistics at Sysco JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sysco sponsor H-1B visas for Logistics roles?
Sysco's Logistics sponsorship activity is primarily concentrated in EB-2, EB-3, and F-1 OPT or CPT pathways rather than H-1B. H-1B sponsorship in operations roles is less common across the food distribution industry generally, given that many Logistics positions do not consistently meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements. That said, more technical or analytical Logistics roles may qualify, so it depends on the specific position and your background.
How do I apply for Logistics jobs at Sysco?
You can find open Logistics roles through Sysco's careers portal. Filter by function and location to identify distribution, supply chain, or transportation positions. When applying, address your visa status clearly in recruiter outreach rather than waiting for the offer stage. Sysco recruits for Logistics roles across multiple regions, so casting a wide geographic net increases your chances of landing an interview.
Which visa types are commonly used for Logistics roles at Sysco?
Sysco has sponsored Logistics candidates under EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, as well as F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates in the early stages of their career. TN status is also an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose roles and degrees align with approved USMCA classifications. The right pathway depends on your citizenship, degree field, and the specific responsibilities of the role you're targeting.
What qualifications does Sysco expect for sponsored Logistics positions?
Sysco typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, or a related discipline for roles that support immigration sponsorship. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems, transportation coordination, or distribution operations strengthens your profile. For EB-3 filings, USCIS and DOL require the role to be offered at the prevailing wage, so your experience level directly affects which positions you qualify for.
How long does the sponsorship process take for Logistics roles at Sysco?
Timeline varies by visa type. F-1 OPT authorization through USCIS takes up to 90 days, so apply well before your program end date. Permanent sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 requires a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL, followed by an I-140 petition with USCIS, which together often span 18 months or more before you reach adjustment of status. Use Migrate Mate to identify which Sysco Logistics roles have active sponsorship so you can start the conversation early.
