Align your portfolio to dbt and cloud stacks
Tiger Analytics projects typically involve dbt, Snowflake, or Databricks. Before applying, build or document hands-on work with these tools. A portfolio showing production-grade data models is more convincing than a resume that lists them.
Target roles before your OPT clock tightens
F-1 OPT gives you a limited window to secure sponsorship. If you're STEM-eligible, you have up to three years total, but H-1B cap registration opens in March. Start your application at Tiger Analytics at least six months before your OPT expires.
Clarify the LCA wage tier during offer negotiation
Tiger Analytics must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition. The LCA locks in a prevailing wage level tied to your job title and location. Confirm which wage level your offer corresponds to before signing.
Flag TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Analytics Engineer roles that map to a qualifying TN category can be processed faster than H-1B cap-subject petitions. If you're Canadian or Mexican, raise TN eligibility with your recruiter early so the offer letter reflects the correct job description.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Analytics Engineer roles
Tiger Analytics posts Analytics Engineer openings across multiple locations and seniority levels. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles that match your visa type so you're applying to positions already set up for sponsorship.
Request PERM timeline clarity before accepting long-term roles
If Tiger Analytics offers EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, the PERM labor certification process through the DOL can take over a year before an I-140 is even filed. Get clarity on when the company intends to initiate the process relative to your start date.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Tiger Analytics sponsor H-1B visas for Analytics Engineers?
Yes, Tiger Analytics sponsors H-1B visas for Analytics Engineers. The company has an active sponsorship track record across this function. If you're a cap-subject applicant, your petition enters the annual USCIS lottery, with registration typically opening in March for an October 1 start. Cap-exempt scenarios, such as employment through qualifying research institutions, follow a separate process.
Which visa types does Tiger Analytics commonly use for Analytics Engineer roles?
Tiger Analytics sponsors across several visa categories for Analytics Engineers, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN visa, and employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories. The right category depends on your citizenship, degree background, and career stage. F-1 students on STEM OPT are commonly hired into this role while H-1B sponsorship is arranged.
What qualifications does Tiger Analytics expect for Analytics Engineer positions?
Tiger Analytics typically looks for proficiency in SQL, a modern transformation tool like dbt, and experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift. A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related quantitative field is standard. Practical experience building and maintaining data pipelines in a production environment carries significant weight in the selection process.
How do I apply for Analytics Engineer jobs at Tiger Analytics?
Browse current Analytics Engineer openings at Tiger Analytics on Migrate Mate, where you can filter by visa sponsorship type to confirm the role fits your authorization category. When you apply, tailor your resume to reflect specific tools Tiger Analytics uses, such as dbt and Snowflake, and be direct about your visa status and timeline in early conversations with the recruiter.
How do I understand the timeline from offer to work authorization at Tiger Analytics?
The timeline varies by visa category. For H-1B, count on at least six months from lottery selection to the October 1 start date, with premium processing available to reduce USCIS adjudication to around 15 business days. For PERM-based Green Card sponsorship, the DOL labor certification process alone can take 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition is filed. Confirm the company's intended filing timeline before accepting any offer contingent on sponsorship.
