Certify your credentials before applying
Trinity Health's Physics roles in radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging typically require ABR board certification or eligibility. Confirm your credentials meet U.S. clinical standards before submitting, since credentialing gaps slow offers and complicate petition timelines.
Target radiation oncology and imaging departments directly
Trinity Health's Physics openings cluster in oncology centers and diagnostic imaging units across its regional hospital network. Search by department rather than job title to surface roles that align with your specialty and are more likely to carry sponsorship support.
Find open Physics roles using Migrate Mate
Browse Trinity Health's current Physics openings on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers. This saves time you'd otherwise spend cross-referencing job boards with sponsorship track records manually.
Clarify sponsorship support during the offer stage
Before accepting an offer, confirm whether Trinity Health will cover H-1B filing fees and legal costs. Large health systems often use in-house immigration counsel, which affects how quickly your I-129 petition is prepared and filed.
Align your start date with the H-1B cap calendar
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS only accepts cap-subject petitions in April for an October 1 start. Work backward from that date when negotiating your offer so your employment start aligns with the earliest available authorization window.
Obtain a PERM labor certification early for Green Card planning
Physics roles at major health systems can support EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, but PERM recruitment requires DOL-compliant advertising before filing. Ask your HR contact whether Trinity Health initiates PERM concurrent with or shortly after your H-1B approval.

Does Trinity Health sponsor H-1B visas for Physics roles?
Yes, Trinity Health sponsors H-1B visas for qualified Physics candidates. Sponsorship is most common for specialized clinical physics roles in radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, your employer must file during the April registration window for an October 1 start. Cap-exempt candidates at qualifying nonprofit hospital entities may file year-round.
How do I apply for Physics jobs at Trinity Health?
Apply through Trinity Health's careers portal, where Physics roles are listed by location and department. Tailor your application to the specific clinical setting, whether that's radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, or diagnostic imaging. You can also browse current openings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces Trinity Health Physics roles filtered for visa sponsorship eligibility, saving you research time.
Which visa types does Trinity Health commonly use for Physics roles?
Trinity Health sponsors H-1B visas for most Physics hires requiring long-term work authorization. J-1 visas are common for clinical physics residents and fellows completing accredited training programs. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying physics specialties. F-1 OPT and CPT can bridge recent graduates while a longer-term sponsorship petition is prepared.
What qualifications does Trinity Health expect for Physics positions?
Most clinical Physics roles require a master's degree or doctorate in medical physics or a closely related field, along with ABR board certification or active candidacy. Roles in radiation oncology typically require hands-on experience with linear accelerators and treatment planning systems. Research or imaging-focused positions may prioritize specific instrumentation experience relevant to Trinity Health's clinical programs.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for Physics hires at Trinity Health?
Timeline depends on visa type and your current status. H-1B cap-subject petitions take several months from registration to October 1 start. USCIS premium processing can reduce adjudication to 15 business days for I-129 petitions. If Trinity Health initiates Green Card sponsorship via PERM, the DOL audit process alone can take 12 to 18 months before the I-140 stage begins.
