Align your credentials to retail program delivery
Wawa prioritizes program managers who can demonstrate end-to-end ownership of operational or technology rollouts in a retail or consumer-facing environment. PMP certification or a portfolio showing large-scale store system implementations strengthens your petition for specialty occupation classification.
Target roles tied to active capital programs
Wawa runs continuous store expansion and technology modernization programs. Applications tied to an active initiative, such as a new store rollout or POS upgrade cycle, give hiring managers a concrete business need to anchor the sponsorship case.
Confirm TN eligibility before negotiating an offer
Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status under the Management Consultant category for certain program management scopes. Confirm with the hiring team early whether your specific role description supports TN classification, since Wawa does sponsor this category.
Understand the PERM timeline for EB-2 and EB-3 paths
Wawa sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for this role, but PERM labor certification through DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed. Raise permanent residence interest after you have an offer, not during early interviews.
Search Wawa openings through Migrate Mate
Filtering for program manager openings at visa-sponsoring retailers is time-consuming through general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to surface active Wawa Project Program Manager listings already verified for sponsorship history, so you apply to roles with a realistic path to authorization.

Does Wawa sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Wawa's primary work visa categories for Project Program Manager roles include F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN, along with Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3. H-1B sponsorship is less commonly associated with this role at Wawa based on available disclosure data. If H-1B is your required pathway, clarify sponsorship scope with the recruiter before advancing in the process.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Wawa?
Applications go through Wawa's careers portal, where roles are typically posted by program area such as technology, store operations, or supply chain. Migrate Mate aggregates active Wawa Project Program Manager listings filtered for visa sponsorship history, which makes it faster to identify open roles with a realistic authorization path before applying directly on Wawa's site.
Which visa types does Wawa commonly use for Project Program Manager roles?
Wawa sponsors F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for candidates still within their post-graduation or co-op authorization windows, and TN status for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals. For longer-term employment, Wawa supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, which requires PERM labor certification through DOL before the immigrant visa petition can be filed.
What qualifications does Wawa expect for Project Program Manager roles?
Wawa typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programs in a retail or operational setting. Familiarity with project lifecycle methodologies, vendor coordination, and technology rollout management is consistently relevant given the scope of programs Wawa runs across its store network and infrastructure.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship at Wawa?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm how many months of work authorization remain before your start date, since USCIS requires your petition to be filed while authorization is still valid. For TN, classification can be obtained at a port of entry, which shortens the lead time significantly. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card processes involve multi-stage DOL and USCIS filings that typically span two or more years, so those conversations should start well after you've accepted an offer.
