INTRODUCTION
Wayfair is one of the largest advertisers in eCommerce, investing more than $1B annually across search, social, display, CTV, audio, influencers, and emerging channels. We’re looking for a product leader to shape the technology that powers how that investment reaches customers and drives incremental growth. This role leads a group of five atomic teams responsible for Wayfair’s connected marketing platform—the intelligence and capabilities that determine who we engage, what products and creative we show them, when and where we reach them, how campaigns are launched and optimized, what signals we exchange with publishers, and how we measure true incremental impact.
A major focus of the role will be building the next generation of our marketing platform: an agent-ready campaign management and decisioning ecosystem that dramatically accelerates campaign creation and optimization while improving performance against marketing objectives. You’ll help move Wayfair from a channel-centric model—where campaigns and decisions are largely optimized within individual channels—to a customer-centric model that coordinates marketing decisions across the full customer journey. You’ll partner closely with Marketing, Applied/ML Science, Data Engineering, Storefront, and our publisher and technology partners to turn customer signals, catalog intelligence, experimentation, and machine learning into better marketing decisions. The platform you lead will directly influence how Wayfair allocates and optimizes $1B+ in annual media investment. The role also offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of advertising technology, working closely with Google, Meta, Pinterest, and other leading platforms as a favored eCommerce pilot partner to influence emerging advertising products and capabilities. This is a highly visible product leadership role and a core partner to Wayfair’s Marketing leadership team, with direct influence on both our long-term marketing technology strategy and the evolution of how Wayfair acquires, engages, and grows our customer base.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set the product strategy for Wayfair’s next generation MarTech platform, owning a 12–18 month portfolio strategy that connects company and Marketing priorities to measurable outcomes across revenue, profitability, and efficient growth.
- Turn complex, ambiguous marketing challenges into clear product opportunities. Define the problems that matter most, establish measurable outcomes, and translate them into a cohesive roadmap across the platform.
- Partner with channel leaders to unlock new growth opportunities. Work closely with Marketing leads as they expand into new and emerging channels, helping shape channel strategy, identify the capabilities required to win, and ensure Wayfair’s technology and data foundations are ready to scale investment successfully.
- Shape how Wayfair measures the true impact of $1B+ in marketing investment. Own the vision and roadmap for our marketing measurement and attribution ecosystem—including MMM, MTA, geo and customer-level incrementality testing, clean rooms, and the data products that power investment decisions.
- Build measurement products marketers trust and use. Partner deeply with Applied/ML Science and Data Engineering to develop and evolve models, data pipelines, and product experiences that turn sophisticated measurement into actionable decisions.
- Build platforms, not point solutions. Design scalable measurement and decisioning capabilities that can power multiple channels, regions, and use cases while creating a consistent foundation for how Wayfair evaluates marketing performance.
- Make rigorous experimentation dramatically easier and faster. Evolve self-service experimentation across geo, audience, bidding, and other marketing tests so teams can answer more questions independently without sacrificing scientific rigor.
- Connect experimentation directly to action. Create intuitive, end-to-end workflows spanning experiment design, execution, measurement, and readouts—making it easier for marketers to turn learnings into better investment and optimization decisions.
- Reimagine marketing workflows for an AI-first world. Apply systems thinking to how GenAI and advanced ML can transform the way marketers, PMs, and scientists build campaigns, design experiments, measure impact, allocate spend, and optimize performance.
- Turn AI from experimentation into scaled capability. Identify the highest-impact opportunities for AI—from automated campaign optimization and generative experiment design to smarter decisioning and guardrails—and establish patterns that enable teams to adopt them quickly, safely, and effectively.
- Build and develop a high-performing Product team. Directly lead Product Managers across the portfolio, creating clear ownership, ambitious scopes, actionable feedback, and meaningful paths for growth.
- Be the product voice for marketing technology and optimization. Align and influence senior leaders across Marketing, Finance, Applied Science, Engineering, and platform teams, bringing clarity to complex trade-offs and driving decisions across organizational boundaries.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of Product Management experience leading complex, data/ML/analytics platforms.
- Proven track record owning a portfolio or multi-year problem space, with clear impact on revenue, profit, or marketing efficiency.
- Deep familiarity with:
- Marketing measurement & attribution (MMM, MTA, lift testing, clean rooms).
- Bidding & optimization systems for performance marketing.
- Experimentation platforms.
- Large-scale data products and ML-driven decisioning systems.
- Search, social, influencer, CTV channel management and optimization.
- Strong quantitative intuition and comfort working with ML/Statistics partners; able to interpret experimental results and model outputs and turn them into product and investment decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to set vision under ambiguity, define clear success metrics, and make high-quality trade-offs across channels, systems, and investment options.
- Experience leading and developing Product Managers and driving execution across Engineering, Science, Analytics, Marketing, and Finance in a highly cross-functional environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting complex, data-rich recommendations to VP+ audiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in ad-tech, marketing technology, or performance marketing at scale, and prior ownership of measurement, attribution, experimentation, or bidding products.
If you’re excited by the opportunity to shape how a top e-commerce advertiser measures and optimizes every dollar of marketing spend and to lead a high-impact portfolio at the intersection of Product, Science, and Marketing, we’d love to hear from you.

Tailor Your Portfolio to E-Commerce Metrics
Wayfair's BA teams work heavily with conversion funnels, supplier performance data, and merchandising analytics. Before applying, restructure your resume and case studies around e-commerce KPIs like cart abandonment, SKU-level margin, or logistics cost reduction.
Target Roles in High-Sponsorship Business Units
Wayfair's supply chain, pricing, and storefront analytics teams have historically filed for foreign national analysts. Searching by department, not just job title, improves your odds of landing a team already experienced with sponsorship paperwork.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsoring Roles
Not every open BA position at Wayfair will come with sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to browse only the listings where Wayfair has confirmed it sponsors your visa type, so you're not wasting applications on roles that won't support you.
Clarify Your OPT Timeline During Interviews
F-1 OPT gives you up to 12 months of work authorization, extendable to 36 months with a STEM extension for qualifying roles. Wayfair's BA positions often qualify, but confirm the role's SOC code with the recruiter before your offer stage to avoid gaps.
Get Your LCA Certified Before Your Start Date
For H-1B and E-3 transfers or new hires, Wayfair's HR team files the Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS sees your petition. Delays in LCA certification directly push back your start date, so follow up with your internal sponsor contact early.
Prepare SQL and Python Work Samples in Advance
Wayfair's BA interview process typically includes a technical screen involving SQL queries and structured problem-solving on real dataset scenarios. Having a polished, walkable work sample ready signals you can contribute immediately, which matters to hiring managers evaluating sponsorship overhead.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Wayfair sponsor H-1B visas for Business Analysts?
Yes, Wayfair sponsors H-1B visas for Business Analyst roles. BA positions at Wayfair typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria because they require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant analytical field. Your employer files the H-1B petition on your behalf, so the process begins once you have a signed offer.
Which visa types are commonly used for Business Analyst roles at Wayfair?
Wayfair supports several visa categories for Business Analysts, including H-1B, E-3 visa for Australian citizens, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals under the USMCA, and F-1 OPT including STEM OPT extensions. For longer-term sponsorship, Wayfair also pursues EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for analysts in continuing roles.
How do I apply for Business Analyst jobs at Wayfair?
You can find open BA positions through Wayfair's careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters Wayfair's listings specifically for roles where visa sponsorship is available. When applying, tailor your materials to Wayfair's e-commerce context, referencing experience with data analysis, business intelligence tools, and measurable commercial outcomes.
What qualifications does Wayfair expect for Business Analyst roles?
Wayfair's BA roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, computer science, or engineering. Proficiency in SQL is expected across most levels, with Python or R preferred for senior roles. Experience interpreting large datasets in a retail or e-commerce environment is a strong differentiator during the interview process.
How do I plan my timeline if Wayfair is sponsoring my H-1B?
The H-1B cap lottery opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT when you receive your offer, your OPT authorization bridges the gap while your petition is pending. USCIS premium processing reduces the adjudication window to 15 business days, which Wayfair may elect to use for time-sensitive hires.
