You are a working lead, actively participating in the process path up to 50% of the shift. Your primary focus is driving safety, quality, and efficiency by controlling workflow, problem-solving, training, and providing direct support to the team.
This role is essential for maintaining high delivery standards and ensuring the smooth operation of all warehouse activities.

- Growth Opportunities: We value data-driven decisions and promote from within, offering clear paths for career advancement in operations, team leadership, and management.
What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)
This role requires a balance of leadership and hands-on operational execution:
I. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Supervision & Delegation: Oversee the team (typically 6-15 associates), coordinating workloads, and providing direct support to ensure the team delivers against production targets and KPIs. You will delegate and assign tasks to associates based on shift priorities.
- Performance: Drive individual and team performance, ensuring associates meet expected Units Per Hour (UPH) goals. Provide real-time feedback regarding performance and quality, addressing issues that do not align with expectations.
- Safety & Training: Conduct pre-shift briefs detailing daily plans and safety topics. Ensure the team is working safely, leading daily stretches, and adhering to all SOPs and safety protocols. Assist in onboarding and conducting necessary training for new and existing associates.
- Problem Resolution: Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues, assisting in problem resolution before escalating to supervisors.
II. Operational Oversight & Execution
- Workflow Control: Proactively control workflow and remove roadblocks for associates to maintain efficiency and productivity. Monitor dashboards and systems to track productivity and identify process gaps.
- Inbound/Outbound Flow: Oversee inbound operations (Receiving/Bulk), including trailer placement, unloading, processing, and hitting Dock to Stock SLA. For outbound (Shipping/Bins), ensure accurate picking, proper packaging, and secure loading of outbound trailers (e.g., cube utilization, securement).

- Administration: Be responsible for answering email and verbal questions in a timely manner.
What You’ll Need (Minimum Requirements)

Align Your Resume to Fulfillment Operations
Wayfair's warehouse roles emphasize inventory management, safety compliance, and order accuracy in high-throughput environments. Tailor your resume to reflect experience with warehouse management systems, pick-and-pack workflows, or distribution center operations rather than generic logistics language.
Confirm E-Verify Enrollment Before Applying
Wayfair participates in E-Verify, the federal employment eligibility verification system. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your EAD card details are accurate before your start date to avoid work authorization delays during onboarding.
Target Roles That Match Your Visa Category
Wayfair sponsors multiple visa types for warehouse roles, including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Filter your job search to fulfillment center and logistics coordinator postings, which are the positions most commonly associated with sponsorship activity in this function.
Time Your Application Around H-1B Cap Deadlines
If you need H-1B sponsorship, Wayfair must register you in the USCIS lottery by the March deadline for an October 1 start. Apply for warehouse roles in the preceding fall or winter to allow enough time for offer, LCA filing, and registration.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Warehouse Roles
Wayfair's warehouse sponsorship-eligible postings don't always surface easily through general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Wayfair warehouse roles that have a documented sponsorship history, saving you time screening out ineligible listings.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
During the offer negotiation stage, confirm whether Wayfair will cover PERM labor certification costs if you're pursuing an EB-2 or EB-3 green card path. Some e-commerce employers sponsor temporary work visas but limit green card support for warehouse-level positions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Wayfair sponsor H-1B visas for Warehouse roles?
Yes, Wayfair sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying warehouse positions, particularly roles with technical or coordination responsibilities that meet USCIS specialty occupation standards. Warehouse management, supply chain analytics, and logistics operations roles are most likely to qualify. Standard H-1B cap rules apply, including the annual lottery and October 1 start date, so timing your application is critical.
How do I apply for Warehouse jobs at Wayfair?
Search for warehouse and fulfillment center roles directly on Wayfair's careers site, filtering by location and function. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse Wayfair warehouse listings that have a confirmed sponsorship track record, which helps you prioritize roles where visa support is most likely. Applying early in a hiring cycle improves your odds, especially if H-1B cap timing is a factor.
Which visa types does Wayfair commonly sponsor for Warehouse positions?
Wayfair sponsors a range of visa categories for warehouse roles, including H-1B, E-3 (for Australian citizens), TN visa (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), and F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates. EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship is available in some cases, though eligibility depends on the specific role and Wayfair's PERM labor certification policies for that position level.
What qualifications does Wayfair expect for sponsored Warehouse roles?
Requirements vary by role, but Wayfair typically looks for experience with warehouse management systems, inventory control, fulfillment operations, or supply chain coordination in high-volume environments. Roles that qualify for H-1B sponsorship generally require a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics, operations management, or a related field. Safety certifications and experience with e-commerce fulfillment workflows are a practical advantage.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Wayfair Warehouse role?
Timeline depends on the visa type. F-1 OPT authorization can be in place within weeks if your EAD is already issued. H-1B sponsorship requires USCIS lottery selection in March and an October 1 start, meaning the full cycle from offer to start can take six months or more. TN and E-3 visas typically move faster, often processing within a few weeks of receiving your employer documents.
