Get your credentials evaluated before applying
If you trained outside the U.S., have your medical or clinical credentials evaluated by a NACES-approved organization before submitting applications. Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic operates under FQHC standards, and credentialing delays can stall both hiring and visa filing.
Target FQHC-designated clinics for sponsorship
Federally Qualified Health Centers like Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic often sponsor clinicians through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways because rural and underserved area hiring creates long-term workforce needs that justify the PERM labor certification process.
Ask HR about TN eligibility during your interview
If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, TN status covers several clinical roles and avoids the PERM timeline entirely. Confirm with the hiring team whether your specific Clinician title maps to an eligible TN profession category before the offer stage.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Clinician roles
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic posts Clinician openings across multiple sites. Use Migrate Mate to surface current listings filtered by visa sponsorship type so you can identify which roles align with your specific authorization pathway before reaching out.
Prepare for a PERM-based timeline if pursuing a Green Card
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic requires DOL PERM labor certification, which can take 12 to 18 months before your I-140 petition is even filed. Build that into your timeline and maintain valid status throughout.

Find Clinician at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic sponsor H-1B visas for Clinicians?
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic's primary sponsorship pathway for Clinicians is through employment-based Green Card categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, rather than H-1B. The clinic also supports F-1 OPT and TN status for eligible candidates. If you're specifically seeking H-1B sponsorship, confirm directly with their HR team during the offer process, as sponsorship decisions are made role by role.
How do I apply for Clinician jobs at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic?
Applications go through Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic's careers portal. Browse open Clinician positions on Migrate Mate to identify current listings that explicitly note visa sponsorship, then apply directly through the clinic's site. Bilingual Spanish-English proficiency is frequently listed as preferred or required, so highlight language skills prominently in your application materials.
Which visa types does Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic commonly use for Clinician roles?
The clinic sponsors Clinicians through F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying clinical occupations. EB-2 and EB-3 require DOL PERM labor certification and are a longer-term commitment from both the employer and the clinician.
What qualifications does Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic expect from Clinician candidates?
Clinician roles typically require a relevant clinical degree, active Washington State licensure or eligibility, and experience working with diverse or underserved populations. Bilingual Spanish-English fluency is a strong differentiator given the clinic's patient base. FQHC experience is a plus but not always required for entry-level positions within the clinic network.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Clinician position?
Timeline depends heavily on visa type. F-1 OPT can be active within 90 days of a USCIS-approved application. TN status for Canadian citizens can be obtained at the port of entry on the same day as your start date. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship involves PERM labor certification through DOL, which typically takes 12 to 24 months before the I-140 petition stage.
