Target roles that align with Zenlayer's core technology stack
Zenlayer builds edge cloud infrastructure, so roles in network engineering, software development, and cloud architecture are the most natural fit for sponsored positions. Aligning your application to these technical areas improves your chances of landing a sponsored offer.
Understand which visa types Zenlayer actively supports
Zenlayer sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visas. If you're on OPT, you may be able to start without waiting for an H-1B. Clarify your current status early so hiring managers understand your timeline and authorization pathway from the first conversation.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Zenlayer's sponsorship history before applying
Before investing time in a lengthy application process, confirm Zenlayer's sponsorship track record. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your energy on companies that have actually sponsored roles like yours.
Highlight experience with distributed systems or global network infrastructure
Zenlayer operates across edge locations worldwide. Candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience with distributed networking, CDN architecture, or cloud infrastructure are more likely to stand out in a technical hiring process oriented around edge computing.
Engage early about sponsorship timelines if you're approaching OPT expiration
Zenlayer sponsors F-1 OPT, but OPT has a fixed validity window. If your authorization is expiring soon, raise the H-1B sponsorship question directly with the recruiter early in the process to avoid last-minute complications with your work authorization.
Research Zenlayer's international presence to frame your global experience effectively
Zenlayer operates edge nodes across Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. If you have experience working in or with teams across these regions, that background can be a genuine differentiator when positioning yourself for a sponsored technical or operational role.
