What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Lead product marketing for the DEM product line, with a focus on real-user experience, network path analysis, application responsiveness, and endpoint diagnostics
- Develop differentiated positioning and messaging that connects digital performance to business outcomes for network operations, service desk, and security audiences
- Translate technical features into compelling customer value, including latency visualization, network analysis, device telemetry, and SaaS performance insights

- You are customer-obsessed. You build deep empathy for the customer—both internal and external—and anchor your decisions in solving their real-world problems. You champion their needs from start to finish, knowing their success is our success.
- You are data-driven. You use data and analytics to find the truth, measure what matters, and guide informed decisions. You value evidence over assumptions, replacing "I think" with "I know" to drive better outcomes.
- You are resilient and adaptable. You view change as an opportunity and setbacks as temporary. You maintain composure and focus in high-pressure situations, guiding yourself and your team through complexity with a steady, positive hand.
What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 7+ years of enterprise product marketing experience in digital experience monitoring, endpoint visibility, or full-stack observability platforms

- Proven experience marketing to or working with IT operations, digital workplace, or network engineering teams in mid-market or enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of how digital experience affects workforce productivity, IT service quality, and end-user satisfaction

Align your background to zero trust engineering
Zscaler's Product Engineer roles are built around its Zero Trust Exchange platform. Framing your experience around network security, cloud-native infrastructure, or SaaS scalability will resonate far more than generic software engineering credentials.
Verify E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
Zscaler participates in E-Verify, which is required for F-1 OPT STEM extension eligibility. Confirm enrollment early so your OPT STEM extension filing timeline aligns with your start date and the 60-day reporting window.
Target product teams with open infrastructure work
Product Engineer openings at Zscaler span data plane, control plane, and platform reliability functions. Roles tied to core platform infrastructure tend to have stronger sponsorship precedent, so prioritize job descriptions that reference those areas.
Browse Zscaler openings filtered by sponsorship on Migrate Mate
Searching for sponsored Product Engineer roles manually is slow and inconsistent. Migrate Mate filters Zscaler's open positions by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you're only reviewing roles where international candidates are actively considered.
Request LCA filing details before your H-1B start date
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can adjudicate your H-1B petition. Ask your recruiter or HR contact to confirm the LCA is submitted well before your intended October 1 start date.
Prepare for specialty occupation documentation early
USCIS scrutinizes Product Engineer petitions where the degree requirement isn't clearly defined in the job description. Have your transcripts, degree equivalency evaluation if applicable, and employer support letter ready before the H-1B petition is drafted.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Zscaler sponsor H-1B visas for Product Engineers?
Yes, Zscaler sponsors H-1B visas for Product Engineers. The company has an established pattern of filing H-1B petitions for engineering roles across its platform and infrastructure teams. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions require selection in the annual lottery, timing your application and securing an offer before the March registration window is critical.
Which visa types are commonly used for Product Engineer roles at Zscaler?
H-1B is the most common pathway for Product Engineers at Zscaler. The company also sponsors E-3 visas for Australian citizens, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and supports F-1 OPT and STEM OPT for recent graduates. Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 is available for qualifying employees after an initial period.
What qualifications does Zscaler expect for Product Engineer roles?
Zscaler's Product Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or network security is heavily weighted. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, your degree must align directly with the specific engineering function in the job description.
How do I apply for Product Engineer jobs at Zscaler?
You can find and apply for sponsored Product Engineer positions at Zscaler through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship eligibility so you're not wasting time on roles that won't support your visa. From there, applications go through Zscaler's standard recruiting process, which includes technical screening, system design rounds, and a final panel interview.
How do I plan my timeline for H-1B sponsorship at Zscaler?
H-1B cap-subject petitions have a fixed annual cycle. USCIS opens registration in March, conducts the lottery in late March, and approved petitions take effect October 1. To hit that window, you need an offer and a completed petition before the filing deadline. Starting your job search at Zscaler six to nine months before the March registration window gives you a realistic runway.
