Who's Hiring

Compliance Officer Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a compliance officer job in Chicago?
Focus your search on the Loop and River North, where Chicago's largest banks, insurance carriers, and trading firms concentrate their compliance teams. Candidates with experience in financial services regulation, healthcare compliance, or derivatives oversight have a clear edge in this market. Certifications such as the CCEP or CRCM signal readiness to Chicago employers who move quickly on credentialed candidates.
Which companies hire compliance officers in Chicago?
Companies currently hiring compliance officers in Chicago include Hightower Advisors, Adyen, and MAREX, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Chicago's mix of global banks, regional insurers, commodities exchanges, and fast-growing fintech firms means demand comes from both established institutions and high-growth employers across the city.
Are there remote compliance officer jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though it depends on the role: analytical and policy-focused compliance work tends to be remote-friendly, while positions requiring on-site audits, trading floor oversight, or in-person regulatory meetings typically are not. About 75% of compliance officer openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with hybrid schedules most common among Loop-based financial institutions.
How can I get a compliance officer job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through a compliance analyst or risk operations role at a regional bank, insurance company, or fintech startup, several of which hire entry-level candidates and promote from within. Paralegal and audit associate backgrounds also transfer well. Volunteering for compliance committees at Chicago-area credit unions or community banks builds practical exposure that larger Loop employers respect when reviewing early-career applicants.
