POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Landscape Construction Estimator & Sales Professional, you will be responsible for developing new business, preparing accurate estimates, and coordinating sold projects with our landscape construction team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Meet with prospective residential and commercial customers to evaluate their landscape construction needs and discuss project opportunities.
- Review landscape plans, construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Conduct site visits, take measurements, and evaluate existing site conditions.
- Prepare detailed and accurate project estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Develop professional proposals and present them to prospective customers.
- Follow up on outstanding proposals, negotiate project agreements, and close sales.
- Order and coordinate the delivery of materials needed for sold projects.
- Work closely with the Landscape Construction Project Manager and construction crews to ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to project installation.
- Communicate project details, customer expectations, material requirements, and scheduling considerations to the construction team.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for additional landscape construction projects.
- Develop new customer relationships and generate additional residential and commercial sales opportunities.
- Maintain accurate project records, estimates, proposals, and customer communications.
- Help grow ServiScape's landscape construction division while maintaining our commitment to quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on landscape construction experience OR a minimum of 5 years of landscape construction estimating and sales experience.
Additional qualifications include:
- Strong understanding of landscape construction methods, materials, equipment, and installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and construction drawings.
- Knowledge of landscape construction costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
- Ability to accurately calculate material quantities and labor requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple estimates, projects, and customer relationships simultaneously.
- Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn estimating and project management software.
- Self-motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing quality work.
- Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Experience:
Experience estimating, selling, or managing landscape construction projects involving patios, retaining walls, walkways, landscape planting, drainage improvements, grading, and other residential or commercial landscape improvements.
Previous sales experience and a proven ability to develop customer relationships and close projects are highly desirable.
