Superintendent - Ground up Residential Construction
Salary: Around $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Type: Full Time
An established General Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Superintendent to support the delivery of ground up residential construction projects in New Jersey.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily field operations, managing subcontractors, maintaining project schedules and working closely with Project Managers, architects and owners to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day construction activities on ground up residential projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades and field operations.
- Monitor project schedules, identify delays and keep construction activities progressing.
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and communicate with owners, architects and project teams.
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings, submittals and specifications.
- Maintain quality control, site safety and compliance with project requirements.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to the management team.
- Ensure company procedures and project documentation are followed.
Requirements
- Proven Superintendent experience on ground up residential construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
- Experience working for a General Contractor on comparable projects.
- Proficiency with Procore and construction management technology.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills.
- Professional approach to working with clients, architects and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and resolve issues on site.
