This role is essential in ensuring that fire extinguishers are properly stocked, refilled, and tested for safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, recharge, refill, and service fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA standards and company procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to ensure fire extinguishers are fully operational and compliant.
- Stock, organize, and maintain shop inventory, supplies, and equipment.
- Accurately document completed inspections, maintenance, and service activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience servicing fire extinguishers, performing mechanical work, or working in a related field is preferred but not required.
- W-96 Certificate of Fitness preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability and willingness to learn new skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment on a regular basis.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Must have valid drivers license.
