Mid Level Construction Supervisor Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level construction supervisor job?
Position yourself around ownership: applications that highlight projects you ran from groundbreaking to closeout, crews you coordinated, and problems you solved without escalating stand out at this level. Tailor your resume to show scope, not just tasks. Certifications such as OSHA 30 or a construction management credential reinforce readiness, and a portfolio of completed projects with measurable outcomes closes the gap between candidate and hire.
Which companies hire mid level construction supervisors?
Companies hiring mid level construction supervisors right now include IREN, Urban Engineers, and Harbaugh Construction, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. General contractors, specialty subcontractors, and regional developers tend to be the most active at this experience level, since they need supervisors who can run jobs independently without requiring constant senior oversight.
Are there remote mid level construction supervisor jobs?
Yes, though most construction supervisor work is site-dependent by nature. About 3% of mid level construction supervisor openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve project coordination, estimating review, or multi-site oversight roles rather than hands-on daily site management. Searching by work setting on Migrate Mate lets you filter for those arrangements quickly.
How do I move up to a mid level construction supervisor role?
The path from entry level into mid level construction supervisor territory is built through demonstrated ownership over time. Taking on progressively larger scopes, volunteering to lead subcontractor coordination, and delivering projects with measurable quality and schedule results signals readiness. Earning field certifications, deepening trade knowledge in a specialty such as commercial, civil, or industrial work, and showing you can manage a crew through conflict or delay builds the profile hiring managers look for.
Which industries hire the most mid level construction supervisors?
Mid Level construction supervisor roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Energy, and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026.
