Consulting Analyst Jobs in Hawaii: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a consulting analyst in Hawaii?
Most consulting analyst roles in Hawaii require a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field. No state-issued license is required for the role itself, though analysts working in specialized areas like healthcare consulting may need familiarity with Hawaii Department of Health regulations. Building experience through Hawaii's large federal contractor community or state government agencies is one of the most direct paths into the field locally.
How much do consulting analysts make in Hawaii?
Consulting analysts in Hawaii earn a median of about $101,750 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $66,060 for the lowest 10% to over $156,000 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire consulting analysts in Hawaii?
Companies currently hiring consulting analysts in Hawaii include CVS Health, Zeus Fire and Security, and Bayer, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hawaii's mix of federal government contracts, healthcare systems, and hospitality-driven real estate creates consistent demand across a range of consulting disciplines.
Which Hawaii cities have the most consulting analyst jobs?
Honolulu, Hilo, and Waimea have the most consulting analyst openings in Hawaii. Honolulu dominates due to its concentration of federal agencies, major healthcare networks, and financial services firms, while other areas on Oahu and the neighbor islands see openings tied to hospitality management, infrastructure projects, and regional government offices.
Are there remote consulting analyst jobs in Hawaii?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 17% of consulting analyst openings tied to Hawaii are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and analytical nature of the work. Strategy, data, and IT advisory projects are the most likely to be conducted fully remotely, while client-facing government or healthcare engagements often require some on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a consulting analyst in Hawaii with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to analyst associate or junior consultant roles at Hawaii's federal contractor offices, where firms like Booz Allen Hamilton and Leidos regularly bring on candidates with strong analytical coursework and no direct consulting experience. Hawaii Pacific University and the University of Hawaii at Manoa both have career pipelines into local government and contractor roles. Lateral moves from financial analyst, operations coordinator, or project assistant positions are also common entry points, and earning a PMP or Six Sigma credential gives early-career candidates a measurable edge.
