Consulting Analyst Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a consulting analyst in Colorado?
Most consulting analyst roles in Colorado require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a technical field, with no state-issued license required for the general consulting analyst title. Colorado employers in government contracting often expect candidates to be eligible for a federal security clearance. Building a portfolio of analytical projects, earning certifications like PMP or Six Sigma Green Belt, and targeting firms in Denver's established professional services sector are the most direct paths into the role.
How much do consulting analysts make in Colorado?
Consulting analysts in Colorado earn a median of about $104,750 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $41,050 for the lowest 10% to over $204,240 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire consulting analysts in Colorado?
Colorado consulting analyst roles are posted by Black & Veatch, Guidehouse, and World Wide Technology and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Colorado's strong federal presence and growing tech sector mean both major consulting houses and specialized government contracting firms maintain active analyst pipelines in the state.
Which Colorado cities have the most consulting analyst jobs?
Denver, Boulder, and Greenwood Village account for the largest share of consulting analyst openings in Colorado. Denver dominates as the state's professional services hub, home to regional offices of major consulting firms, and Colorado Springs draws government contracting roles tied to its military installations and federal agencies, while Boulder attracts technology and innovation-focused consulting work aligned with its research and startup ecosystem.
Are there remote consulting analyst jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields. Consulting analyst work is largely desk-based and communication-driven, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 100% of consulting analyst openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting widespread adoption across the industry. Strategy, data analysis, and digital transformation projects are the segments most frequently offered with location flexibility.
How can I get hired as a consulting analyst in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for analyst associate or junior consultant roles at Colorado's large professional services offices, particularly Deloitte and Accenture in Denver, which run structured analyst development programs for recent graduates. Lateral moves from roles like financial analyst, business intelligence analyst, or project coordinator are common entry points. Completing a PMP or Google Data Analytics certification and building a portfolio of case study or capstone projects significantly strengthens a candidate's profile for Colorado hiring managers.
Where can I find and apply to consulting analyst jobs in Colorado?
