Top firms recruit heavily from New York City universities and business programs, making on-campus recruiting a primary entry channel alongside direct applications.
How much do consulting analysts make in New York?
Consulting analysts in New York earn a median of about $112,250 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $64,900 for the lowest 10% to over $209,440 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.

Which New York cities have the most consulting analyst jobs?
New York, Atlanta, and Brooklyn have the most consulting analyst openings in New York. New York City dominates because it is home to the global headquarters of major consulting firms, investment banks, and healthcare systems, while Albany and White Plains generate steady demand through state government advisory work and regional corporate offices that need dedicated analytical support.

Yes, and more than most fields. About 36% of consulting analyst openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based, document-driven nature of the work. The most realistic entry path is applying to analyst associate programs that firms like Deloitte, PwC, and EY run specifically for recent graduates at their New York offices. Lateral moves from roles in financial analysis, project coordination, or business operations are also common entry points.
