Consulting Analyst Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a consulting analyst in Nebraska?
Most consulting analyst positions in Nebraska require a bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a closely related field. Nebraska does not impose a state-issued license specific to consulting analysts, so employers set their own standards. Candidates strengthen their candidacy by earning credentials such as the Project Management Professional or Certified Management Consultant designation, both of which are recognized by Nebraska's major employers in Omaha and Lincoln.
How much do consulting analysts make in Nebraska?
Consulting analysts in Nebraska earn a median of about $75,360 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $49,820 for the lowest 10% to over $131,270 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire consulting analysts in Nebraska?
Nebraska consulting analyst roles are posted by Victra-Verizon Authorized Retailer, Johnson Brothers, and Bryan Health and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Omaha's concentration of Fortune 500 financial and insurance firms makes it the state's deepest market for ongoing consulting analyst hiring.
Which Nebraska cities have the most consulting analyst jobs?
Omaha, Lincoln, and Nebraska account for the most consulting analyst openings in Nebraska. Omaha drives the bulk of demand as the state's commercial hub, anchored by major financial, healthcare, and technology employers, while Lincoln adds steady volume through state government agencies, the University of Nebraska system, and regional professional services firms.
Are there remote consulting analyst jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 23% of consulting analyst openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of this work involves analysis, reporting, and client communication that can be done off-site. Strategy, data, and financial advisory sub-roles tend to carry the highest remote flexibility.
How can I get hired as a consulting analyst in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for analyst associate or junior analyst roles at Omaha-based financial and insurance firms, which regularly hire recent graduates from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, Creighton University, and Nebraska Wesleyan. Employers such as Mutual of Omaha and TD Ameritrade have structured new-graduate rotational or associate programs. Moving laterally from a financial analyst, operations coordinator, or business analyst role is also common. A relevant internship or an entry-level business certification gives candidates a clear edge.
Where can I find and apply to consulting analyst jobs in Nebraska?
You can find and apply to consulting analyst jobs in Nebraska on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nebraska openings. Find roles that fit your experience and location, then apply directly to each one.
