Mid Level Content Designer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level content designer job?
Position your portfolio around ownership, not just execution. Highlight projects where you drove content strategy, made decisions independently, or collaborated cross-functionally with product and design. Recruiters at this level want to see consistent delivery across multiple projects and evidence that your work influenced outcomes, not just that you completed assignments. Tailor each application to show the scope you have already handled.
Which companies hire mid level content designers?
Companies hiring mid level content designers right now include TikTok, ADT, and Aflac, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from product-led organizations, consumer tech companies, and large enterprises building or scaling dedicated content design practices.
Are there remote mid level content designer jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are common at this level. About 80% of mid level content designer openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the broader shift toward distributed product teams. Fully remote roles do exist, though some employers prefer hybrid arrangements for mid level designers who collaborate closely with product managers and researchers.
How do I move up to a mid level content designer role?
The path from entry level to mid level is built on demonstrated ownership and deepening craft. Focus on taking full responsibility for at least one product area, documenting measurable impact from your content decisions, and developing fluency in UX research and content systems alongside writing. Seeking feedback actively and contributing to design critiques signals the collaborative maturity employers associate with mid level readiness.
Which industries hire the most mid level content designers?
Mid Level content designer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Insurance, and Automotive, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive the most hiring because they operate at scale, maintain large product surfaces that require ongoing content systems work, and have mature enough design organizations to support dedicated content design functions at multiple levels.
