Entry Level Copywriter Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level copywriter job?
Start by building a portfolio with two to five writing samples that show range, even if they come from internships, class projects, or spec work you created for practice. Employers hiring at this level look for clear, concise writing, a basic grasp of brand voice, and willingness to take direction and revise quickly. Tailoring each application to the company's actual tone gives you a real edge over generic submissions.
Which companies hire entry level copywriters?
Companies hiring entry level copywriters right now include Jobot, Socure, and VeSync, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, you'll find openings at marketing agencies, in-house brand teams, media companies, and e-commerce businesses that need a steady flow of fresh content and value writers who are eager to grow.
Are there remote entry level copywriter jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are common for copywriters at this stage. About 42% of entry level copywriter openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, which means you're not limited to employers in your city. Many content teams work distributed and are comfortable onboarding junior writers remotely, especially for roles focused on digital or social copy.
Are these new grad copywriter jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior copywriter roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or freelance work as qualifying experience, or asks for a portfolio rather than a resume full of full-time jobs. If a listing says "entry level" or "junior," it's written for candidates at exactly this stage.
Which industries hire the most entry level copywriters?
Entry Level copywriter roles concentrate in Marketing & Advertising, Retail, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because they produce high volumes of digital content, advertising copy, and brand communications and need writers who can get up to speed quickly and work across multiple formats.
