ABOUT VERCEL
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company. We free people and agents to ship what’s next. For more than a decade, Vercel has shaped how the web is built. As the team behind Next.js, v0, and AI SDK, we create products that help builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience. Now, software is entering a new era, and the next generation of products will not just be used by people. They will be built, extended, and operated by agents. We are building the platform for that future, trusted by companies like OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide. Whether you’re building our products, supporting our customers, growing our community, or shaping our story, you’ll help define what comes next.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring a Corporate Events Manager to own the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of these tentpoles, delivering experiences that inspire developers, excite enterprise buyers, and capture the attention of the global tech press. Reporting to the Head of Demand Generation and partnering closely with marketing, product, and sales, you will be a key force in how Vercel shows up to the world.
- Execute Vercel's flagship events: Support the editorial calendar and creative direction for Ship, Next.js Conf, and more coordinating across launches, narrative arcs, and the partner ecosystem.
- Deliver world-class execution: Lead end-to-end planning and stagecraft (budgeting, vendors, programming, production, branding, on-site ops) with clear targets for attendance, NPS, influenced pipeline, and content reach.
- Help shape the story: Collaborate with PMM and leadership to develop keynotes, demos, and narrative arcs; and help curate a speaker bench of customers, OSS leaders, and partners.
- Drive high-impact sponsored presence: Execute activations for AWS re:Invent and other key industry events—ensuring Vercel's presence is unmissable.
- Connect events to company goals: Work closely with product, developer relations, sales, and marketing to ensure each event drives measurable awareness, demand, and community growth.
- Manage budgets and logistics: Track event spend, reconcile invoices, and support forecasting and ROI modeling; contribute to the event tech stack to attribute impact end to end.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams: Provide day-to-day coordination with design, video, and PMM, and manage agencies and contractors to deliver at scale.
- Support global programming: Assist with multi-region timing, localization, and follow-the-sun programming as Vercel expands tier-1 events internationally in 2026.
- Track and report on outcomes: Maintain KPIs for reach, engagement, pipeline impact, and brand lift—and surface data-driven insights to optimize future events.
- Experiment with format and experience: Contribute ideas and execution for in-person, hybrid, and virtual formats that meet our audiences where they are while staying true to Vercel's developer-first DNA.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Solid event management experience: 4–6 years in event planning and execution, including hands-on experience running conferences or product launches with 1000+ attendees.
- Familiarity with global industry stages: Working knowledge of events like AWS re:Invent, with the operational skill to execute effectively in competitive environments.
- Detail-oriented and organized: You thrive in the weeds—run-of-show documents, speaker prep, A/V coordination, and vendor management are where you shine.
- Commercial awareness: You understand how events connect to pipeline impact, sponsorship value, and ROI, and can report on those metrics clearly.
- Strong cross-functional collaborator: Skilled at working across teams and managing external partners to a high standard.
- Developer empathy: You understand how to speak to and design for technical audiences—engineers, CTOs, and product leaders.
- Operational rigor: Proven ability to deliver complex events on time and on budget, with solid contingency planning and attention to compliance.

Tips for Your Corporate Events Manager Job Search
Quantify event scale on your resume
Hiring managers scan for scope fast, so lead each bullet with attendee count, budget managed, and number of concurrent events you handled. A line like '1,200-attendee annual conference, $800K budget' signals readiness for complex programs instantly.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists corporate events manager openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Tailor your portfolio to the employer's event type
A hospitality company wants to see gala and incentive travel examples, while a tech firm cares about product launches and user conferences. Swap out your featured case studies before each application so the reviewer sees immediate relevance to their calendar.
Filter openings by the vendor ecosystem listed
Job postings that name specific platforms like Cvent, Bizzabo, or Splash tell you exactly what tech stack the team uses. Prioritize those openings if you already know those tools, and call that out explicitly in your cover letter rather than burying it in a skills list.
Prepare a budget management story for interviews
Almost every corporate events manager interview includes a question about handling a mid-program budget cut or vendor cancellation. Walk in with a real example that shows how you renegotiated contracts, reallocated spend, and still delivered the outcome the stakeholder needed.
Negotiate start date around peak event cycles
Corporate events teams are understaffed during Q4 conference season and fiscal year-end events. If you receive an offer in those windows, you have real leverage to negotiate your start date, additional PTO, or a signing bonus to offset the immediate workload you're absorbing.
Corporate Events Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most corporate events managers?
The companies hiring the most corporate events managers right now include Live Nation, Vacatia, and SageSure, with the largest share of openings in California, Michigan, and Ohio, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Financial services firms, large technology companies, and hotel groups consistently post the highest volume of these roles year-round.
How many corporate events manager jobs are remote?
About 41% of corporate events manager openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, though on-site presence is standard whenever active events are running. Program management, vendor coordination, and pre-event logistics are the sub-areas most often performed remotely, while load-in, on-site production, and executive hosting almost always require in-person attendance.
How do you become a corporate events manager?
Start with a degree in hospitality, marketing, or communications and build hands-on experience through event coordinator or assistant roles where you manage real logistics, not just admin support. Earn the Certified Meeting Professional credential once you have qualifying experience, and build a portfolio with documented examples of events you planned from budget through post-event recap. Consistent exposure to contract negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder communication accelerates the path to a manager title.
Can you get hired as a corporate events manager without much experience?
Getting hired with limited experience is realistic if you can show hands-on event work, even from volunteer, nonprofit, or campus roles, and pair it with demonstrated competency in project management tools and vendor coordination. Many employers will move a strong event coordinator into a manager title after one or two successful programs rather than hire externally. Targeting companies that run a high volume of smaller internal events is a more accessible entry point than going straight for large-scale conference programs.
What does the corporate events manager interview process look like?
Most processes run three to four rounds starting with a recruiter screen, followed by a hiring manager conversation focused on event scope and budget experience, then a panel interview with stakeholders or cross-functional partners. Many employers include a practical exercise where you build a rough event plan, budget outline, or RFP response for a hypothetical program. Final rounds typically involve senior leadership and focus on strategic alignment, communication style, and how you handle last-minute changes under pressure.
Where can I find and apply to corporate events manager jobs?
You can find and apply to corporate events manager jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the United States. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level, preferred industry, and location, then apply directly to each opening that fits. New postings are added regularly, so checking back frequently gives you the best shot at catching roles early.
