Essential Responsibilities
- Providing excellent services to members and patients
- The Wellness Coordinator's primary responsibility is to gain memberships in order to meet sales goals
- Greeting members and patients upon arrival. Checking members and patients in to see the Chiropractor
- Answering phone calls
- Re-engaging inactive members
- Staying updated on membership options, packages and promotions
- Recognizing and supporting team goals and creating and maintaining positive relationships with team members
- Maintain the cleanliness of the clinic and organization of workspace
- Confident in presenting and selling memberships and visit packages
- Keeping management apprised of member concerns and following manager’s policies, procedures and direction
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Accepting constructive criticism in a positive manner and using it as a learning tool
- Office coordination or marketing experience a plus!

Chiropractor CPT: Frequently Asked Questions
Does chiropractic clinical work qualify for CPT authorization?
Yes, if your chiropractic program includes supervised clinical training as a degree requirement. The work must be an integral part of your curriculum, not optional or extracurricular. Your DSO will review the employer's job description to confirm it aligns with your clinical competency requirements before issuing a CPT-authorized I-20. Private practices, hospital-affiliated clinics, and multi-disciplinary wellness centers have all been approved for CPT placements.
Can I do CPT at a solo chiropractic practice that has never hired an F-1 student before?
Yes, employer immigration history doesn't determine CPT eligibility. What matters is whether the position integrates with your curriculum and whether your school approves it. The employer needs to be able to complete I-9 verification, which requires E-Verify enrollment or accepting your EAD-equivalent CPT documentation. Walk the practice owner through the process early to avoid delays on your start date.

Does CPT as a chiropractor affect my OPT eligibility after graduation?
Part-time CPT has no effect on your 12-month OPT entitlement. Full-time CPT, meaning 20 or more hours per week, counts against your OPT if it was authorized for one year or more in total across your program. Most chiropractic students use part-time CPT during clinical rotations and reserve full-time CPT for their final semester internship, which preserves OPT eligibility for post-graduation job searching.
