ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is for a 2027 Summer Internship which will last approximately 12 weeks.
- Agronomy and/or Operations focused internship to learn the ins and out of a Nutrien Ag Solutions retail location
- Have direct responsibility relating to tissue sampling, soil sampling, sales and/or other related tasks at the location
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year Higher Education degree program in Agriculture or a related program with an interest in Agriculture
- Must have a graduation date of August 2027 or later
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The salary range for this role, in Sak Centre, MN location, is between $16.00 - $20.00. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
We provide an attractive benefits package that includes catastrophic coverages including life, accidental death and dismemberment, and business travel accident insurance for a position of at least three months in duration and more than 30 hours per week. Our benefit package also demonstrates our culture of care with paid sick days and holidays as well as an Employee and Family Assistance Program. A Student or Intern role does not participate in any retirement savings or incentive programs. Nutrien will comply with benefit and retirement regulations, as necessary. Details of the benefits package will be shared in the application process.

Does a Field Service Specialist role qualify for CPT authorization?

Can I do CPT for a Field Service Specialist role that requires travel?
CPT is authorized for a specific employer and work location, so domestic travel within the scope of that job is generally acceptable under the same authorization. If the role requires extended work at client sites in different states, confirm with your DSO whether each location needs to be listed on your I-20. Will CPT for a Field Service Specialist role affect my OPT later?
Only full-time CPT authorized for 12 months or more eliminates OPT eligibility. Part-time CPT, defined as fewer than 20 hours per week, does not count toward that threshold regardless of how many semesters it runs. Field service rotations structured as part-time or project-based placements are a common way to gain CPT experience without affecting OPT. Confirm the authorized hours with your DSO before signing an offer.
What documents does a Field Service Specialist employer need from me for CPT?
Your employer needs your CPT-endorsed I-20, which lists the employer name, authorized dates, and part-time or full-time status. They'll also need your passport and any government-issued ID required for their E-Verify process.
