Yazaki is looking for a motivated Co-op to join our Supplier Quality team in Canton, Michigan. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization.
What you will be doing:
- Daily Tasks: In this role you will be data mining Yazaki Quality Systems to support targeting supplier improvement opportunities. You will also be reviewing and summarizing supplier corrective actions to further improve supplier performance.
- Success Metrics: Supplier Quality’s performance is evaluated by improvement to the number of customer concerns Yazaki has in a year. Supporting that outcome is how your performance will be reviewed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Supplier Quality Teams, Operations, the Business Units as well as Purchasing. This is a growth position with an opportunity to get a wider view of the Quality Profession and Yazaki.
What you will bring to the table:
- Education: Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the working period.
- Relevant Background: Degree/experience related to the position (e.g., Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration).
- Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Commitment: Availability to work around your class schedule \~20 hrs/wk.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer, math and writing skills. Collaboration and teamwork are critical to the roles success.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.

It depends on how your school defines curriculum integration. General Manager roles that involve strategic planning, financial oversight, or organizational leadership typically align with MBA or management programs. Can I do CPT as a General Manager if my degree is not in business?

What documents do I need to start a General Manager CPT position?
You need a signed offer letter with your start date, employer name, and job title; an updated I-20 with CPT authorization endorsed by your DSO; and your current F-1 visa and I-94 showing valid status.
