Job Description
KIOXIA America Inc. is looking for a Product Line Management Intern to join our eSSD Product Management team. In this role you will assist in deploying an open source model and configure RAG workspace with existing data.
Responsibilities:
- Data Curation & Preprocessing: Acquire, clean, and annotate large datasets (images, text) to ensure high-quality training inputs.
- Performance Optimization: Run experiments to optimize model performance, addressing issues related to speed, memory, and accuracy.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of experiments, model development processes, and results, presenting findings to the team.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers and software engineers, to deploy POC of AI solutions.
Qualifications
- Current student pursuing a Masters or PhD in Computer Science or related field
- Previous deployment of an open source model preferred

Does a line cook job qualify for CPT authorization?
Yes, if the role is an integral part of your established curriculum and your school's DSO approves it. A culinary arts, hospitality management, or food science program typically maps directly to line cook duties. Your DSO will review the job description and may require a training agreement before issuing the I-20 CPT endorsement.
Can I work as a line cook at multiple restaurants on CPT at the same time?
You can hold more than one CPT position, but each employer requires a separate DSO authorization, and hours at both locations count toward your total CPT time. If the combined schedule exceeds 20 hours per week, both are classified as full-time CPT, which counts against your OPT eligibility. Confirm the math with your DSO before accepting a second offer.
How do I find line cook employers who are comfortable hiring CPT students?

Does working as a line cook on CPT affect my ability to apply for OPT after graduation?
Part-time CPT, meaning under 20 hours per week, has no effect on OPT eligibility regardless of how many months you work. Full-time CPT, meaning 20 or more hours per week, only becomes a problem if you accumulate 12 months or more of it before graduation. Staying under that threshold while completing a kitchen internship keeps your full 12-month OPT period available post-graduation.
