Customer Sales Advisor Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer sales advisor in Oregon?
Most customer sales advisor roles in Oregon require no state-issued license, but advisors selling insurance products must hold an Oregon Department of Financial Regulation producer license, obtained by completing a pre-licensing course and passing the state exam. For general retail or telecommunications advisory roles, employers typically require a high school diploma and may provide on-the-job product training, making the role accessible to candidates at various education levels.
Which companies hire customer sales advisors in Oregon?
Oregon customer sales advisor roles are posted by Jiffy Lube, Arthur's Automotive, and Premium Velocity Auto and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Oregon's mix of utility providers, automotive dealerships, and regional financial institutions creates steady year-round demand for the role across the state.
Which Oregon cities have the most customer sales advisor jobs?
Portland and Oregon City have the most customer sales advisor openings in Oregon right now. Portland's concentration of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and telecom offices drives the bulk of listings, while Salem's government and utilities sector and Eugene's retail and healthcare-adjacent employers account for consistent openings in those markets.
Are there remote customer sales advisor jobs in Oregon?
Yes, and they are fairly common, since much of the advisory work involves phone, video, and digital channels rather than in-person visits. About 0% of customer sales advisor openings tied to Oregon are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting employers' ongoing investment in distributed sales teams. Inbound account management and inside sales roles are the most likely to be offered fully remote.
How can I get hired as a customer sales advisor in Oregon with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to retail or call-center associate roles at Oregon-based employers such as Lithia Motors dealerships or Pacific Power, which regularly onboard candidates without prior sales experience and train them on products internally. Lateral moves from customer service representative or front-desk roles at Oregon credit unions and regional banks are another common door. Completing an Oregon Department of Financial Regulation pre-licensing course in life or property-casualty insurance gives entry-level candidates a concrete credential that sets them apart when applying to advisory roles in financial services.
Where can I find and apply to customer sales advisor jobs in Oregon?
You can find and apply to customer sales advisor jobs in Oregon on Migrate Mate, which lists current Oregon openings updated regularly. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and location, then apply directly to the ones that fit your background.
