Our Data, Digital and Analytics (DDA) team is dedicated to solving complex healthcare challenges and improving patient outcomes. Data, Digital and Analytics empowers business partners across Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs (CMG) to make impactful decisions by leveraging data, analytics, business products, and AI/ML to enable fast, targeted actions in rapidly evolving business contexts.

The Opportunity
As an AI & Digital Data Product Manager, you will drive execution from strategy through implementation for a designated portfolio of advanced AI/ML pipelines and digital data products. Reporting directly to the Director AI & Digital Data Products, you will own the full product lifecycle, spearhead digital transformation initiatives, translate complex business needs into actionable roadmaps, and collaborate within cross-functional data squads to deliver scalable AI and digital data solutions.
Product Lifecycle Ownership: Manage execution from digital product strategy through implementation for a portfolio of AI and Analytical Data Products, driving roadmap development, release management, and continuous optimization.
Agile Collaboration & Digital Transformation: Champion a digital product operating model mindset, participating in agile routines and collaborating within cross-functional AI and data squads to deliver iterative value.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries and digital demand requests, effectively bridging the gap between business stakeholders, AI/ML researchers, and the data product technology team.
Data Standards & AI Quality: Partner with data owners and cross-functional teams to define and enforce data standards, ensuring AI model readiness, data quality, testing, usability, and seamless workflow integration.
Architectural Guidance & Advanced Strategy: Guide the team in adhering to data mesh, data fabric, Semantic Layer concepts, advanced digital product strategy, and FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data principles.
Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the AI and digital data product backlog for your designated portfolio to ensure it efficiently addresses the requirements of evolving business use cases.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor and measure data product performance in collaboration with IT partners, identifying opportunities to optimize value delivery to end users.
Who you are
You possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Operations, Marketing, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
You have 3+ years of combined experience in AI & digital data product management, data management, AI/ML product development, software development, or equivalent experience, with a proven track record in digital transformation and driving execution from strategy to implementation.
You demonstrate strong technical fluency with data systems, SQL, AI/ML frameworks, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) to inform digital product decisions.
You possess working knowledge of Semantic Layer concepts, data governance frameworks, and FAIR data principles.
You have proven experience collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and Privacy teams to ensure adherence to governance and regulatory standards.
Preferred
Advanced degree such as an MBA or related graduate-level qualification.
Professional experience in data management, technical project management, or business analysis within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, finance, CPG, or management consulting industries.
Experience with AI-driven products, omnichannel/digital marketing solutions, or CRM systems.
Expertise in driving product enhancements based on measurement, optimization insights, and data usage metrics.
Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to navigate ambiguous or evolving environments.
Location
This role is based in South San Francisco and offers a hybrid schedule working 3 day per week on campus
No relocation benefits are available for this posting
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $125,200 - $232,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
