Delivery Driver Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a delivery driver in Massachusetts?
Most delivery driver positions in Massachusetts require a valid Massachusetts driver's license issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles, a clean driving history, and the ability to pass a DOT physical and background check. For commercial or heavy vehicle roles, a Massachusetts CDL is required, obtained through the RMV after passing a written knowledge test and a skills road exam. No college degree is typically required, and most employers provide on-the-job route training.
Which companies hire delivery drivers in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts delivery driver roles are posted by MW Boston Delivery, Domino's, and W.B. Mason Company and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Massachusetts's dense population and major logistics infrastructure across Greater Boston and the I-90 corridor support continuous hiring from both national carriers and regional distributors.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most delivery driver jobs?
Boston, Brockton, and Plymouth have the most delivery driver openings in Massachusetts. Greater Boston drives the bulk of demand through its concentration of fulfillment centers, hospital systems, and dense residential delivery zones, while Worcester and Springfield anchor Central and Western Massachusetts with regional distribution hubs that support both commercial and residential routes.
Are there remote delivery driver jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, but they're rare. About 0% of delivery driver openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, reflecting the fundamentally on-road and hands-on nature of the work. The small share of remote-eligible roles typically involves dispatch coordination, route planning, or fleet logistics support rather than physical package delivery.
How can I get hired as a delivery driver in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to package handler or warehouse associate roles at large Massachusetts distribution facilities, such as Amazon fulfillment centers in North Reading or Milford, then transferring into a driver position once eligible. Stop & Shop and regional grocery chains also hire entry-level delivery associates with a basic Massachusetts driver's license. Obtaining a clean driving record and completing a defensive driving course recognized by the Massachusetts RMV strengthens any application significantly.
Where can I find and apply to delivery driver jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to delivery driver jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current Massachusetts openings across industries and experience levels. Search the listings, find the roles that fit your license class and schedule, and apply directly to the ones that match.
