Delivery Driver Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a delivery driver in Minnesota?
Most delivery driver positions in Minnesota require a valid Minnesota driver's license issued by the Minnesota Driver and Vehicle Services office, with a clean driving record. No state-specific certification is required for standard parcel or grocery routes, though commercial driver's license credentials are needed for larger vehicles. Employers typically conduct a motor vehicle record check and a background screen before hiring.
Which companies hire delivery drivers in Minnesota?
Employers hiring delivery drivers in Minnesota right now include Domino's, MedSpeed, and NAPA Auto Parts, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Minnesota's density of retail distribution centers, healthcare campuses, and grocery chains makes it one of the more active states for sustained delivery driver hiring year-round.
Which Minnesota cities have the most delivery driver jobs?
The cities with the most delivery driver openings in Minnesota are Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and Rochester. The Twin Cities dominate because of the region's major distribution infrastructure, corporate headquarters, and dense residential neighborhoods, while Rochester's large medical center complex and Duluth's port-adjacent logistics activity support steady openings in those smaller markets.
Are there remote delivery driver jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, but they're rare. About 13% of delivery driver openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how hands-on the role is by nature. The small share of remote-eligible work tends to be in dispatching, route planning, or logistics coordination roles that are adjacent to but distinct from behind-the-wheel delivery positions.
How can I get hired as a delivery driver in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a helper or seasonal driver associate position, which large Minnesota-based employers like Target and Amazon regularly post at their Twin Cities-area fulfillment centers without requiring prior driving experience. Building familiarity with route apps and obtaining a clean Minnesota driver's license first gives candidates an immediate edge, and temporary logistics staffing agencies operating in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area frequently place inexperienced candidates into roles that convert to full-time.
Where can I find and apply to delivery driver jobs in Minnesota?
You can find and apply to delivery driver jobs in Minnesota on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Find roles that fit your schedule, vehicle type, and preferred delivery area, then apply directly to the employer through each listing.
