DevOps Jobs in Orlando: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a devops job in Orlando?
The strongest path in Orlando is targeting the defense and simulation technology sector around Lake Nona and the UCF Research Park, where continuous integration and infrastructure automation are in constant demand. Enterprise software firms in the downtown Central Business District and Maitland Center also hire heavily. Candidates with hands-on Kubernetes, Terraform, or CI/CD pipeline experience stand out, and familiarity with government-adjacent security standards gives a real edge with Orlando's defense contractors.
Which companies hire devopss in Orlando?
Employers hiring devopss in Orlando right now include QXO, Thales, and Cruitin, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Orlando's hiring mix leans toward defense contractors, simulation technology firms, and regional healthcare and hospitality technology companies, making it a more industry-diverse market than many comparable mid-size cities.
Are there remote devops jobs in Orlando?
Yes, devops work is reasonably remote-friendly for pipeline, automation, and cloud infrastructure roles, though on-site presence is typically required for positions involving classified systems or physical data center work. About 39% of devops openings tied to Orlando are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the most flexible arrangements concentrated at enterprise software and SaaS employers rather than defense or simulation contractors.
How can I get a devops job in Orlando with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Orlando is through a junior systems administrator or cloud support role at one of the region's many mid-size managed service providers, which are concentrated around the Maitland Center and Sand Lake Road corridors. UCF and Valencia College both feed local employer pipelines, and several Orlando defense contractors run structured apprenticeship programs. Building demonstrable experience with AWS or Azure certifications and contributing to open-source infrastructure projects helps candidates compete for internal moves into full devops roles.
Which industries hire the most devopss in Orlando?
Most devops openings in Orlando sit in Technology & Software, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Orlando's concentration of defense contractors, modeling and simulation companies tied to the military presence at Naval Air Warfare Center, and a growing health technology cluster around Lake Nona Medical City all sustain consistent demand for devops talent across the metro.
