Our client is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on integrating security throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle, with hands-on work across Microsoft Azure, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, Infrastructure as Code, automated security testing, and hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructure. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Integrate security practices throughout the development, deployment, and operations lifecycle.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with automated security controls and testing.
- Integrate SAST, DAST, SCA, vulnerability scanning, and other security tools into CI/CD workflows.
- Develop and enforce security standards for Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
- Secure Microsoft Azure, cloud, container, Kubernetes, and on-premises infrastructure.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analysis and support remediation activities.
- Implement security monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to promote secure coding and deployment practices.
- Support deployment projects and coordinate with third-party vendors.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and assess the security impact of new features and functionality.
- Provide security guidance, mentoring, and training to engineering and operations teams.
- Monitor emerging security threats, technologies, and DevSecOps best practices.
- Lead continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across the organization.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in software development, systems administration, IT support, SRE, build/release engineering, networking, QA, DBA, or related technical roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on DevOps or DevSecOps experience.
- Strong understanding of security principles, including encryption, authentication, authorization, network security, and vulnerability management.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or comparable CI/CD platforms.
- Experience integrating security tools and automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, vulnerability scanning, and security testing.
