Commerce is looking for an Enterprise Training Manager, Technical Content to join our Training team. Reporting to the Manager, Training, this role sits at the intersection of technical content ownership and enterprise training delivery. The ideal candidate will own and maintain Commerce product and developer learning content — ensuring accuracy and relevance with each platform release — while also supporting personalized training for merchants, agency partners, and internal teams.
What You’ll Do:
Content Ownership & Development:
- Serve as a key contributor to the creation, maintenance, and ongoing updates of Commerce product training and technical learning content, ensuring accuracy and relevance with each platform release.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Professional Services to translate platform changes into accurate, engaging, and up-to-date learning content across all course formats.
- Produce product and developer-focused video content — including scripting, narration, and screen recordings — covering new feature releases, commonly asked questions, and key platform capabilities to support the broader developer ecosystem.
- Continuously discover and implement new learning techniques and adult learning best practices to maximize engagement and instructional effectiveness.
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to accelerate content creation, improve efficiency, and enhance the learner experience.
Training Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Deliver customized virtual and in-person training for enterprise merchants, agency partners, and internal teams as needed.
- Conduct detailed scoping calls with merchants and partners to understand business objectives and functional requirements, and provide expert recommendations on personalized training needs.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Account Management, and Marketing.
- Work with external stakeholders, including client partners, project managers, developers, technical partners, and executives in enterprise organizations.
- Manage training action plans and coordinate scheduling and administration of learning sessions before, during, and after delivery.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Commerce platform features, the third-party ecosystem, and competitive differentiators.
Who You Are:
- 3–5 years of combined experience in the technology industry with a focus on technical writing, instructional design, product training, developer education, or similar roles.
- Working knowledge of GitHub and local development practices; able to run and modify a site locally using popular frameworks like Next.js or Nuxt.js.
- Experience with ecommerce tools and applications, including SaaS and open source storefronts, headless implementations, POS, PIM, OMS, ERP, and payment gateways.
- Solid technical foundation: comfortable with APIs and able to run API requests given API docs or a Postman library; familiar with front-end development tools and at ease with HTML/CSS/JS.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to explain complex technical topics clearly to audiences of all experience levels.
- Proactive, transparent communicator who is mindful of stakeholder needs across global, matrixed organizations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple content projects independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment.
- Comfortable learning new technologies quickly and asking for help from others; a natural collaborator and knowledge-sharer.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Content Developer
Match your degree to the role description
U.S. consular officers assess whether your Australian qualification directly relates to the Content Developer duties listed in your offer letter. A degree in communications, English, or digital media creates a cleaner specialty occupation case than a broader business degree.
Target employers with active LCA filing histories
Content Developer roles at technology firms, SaaS companies, and digital agencies appear most frequently in DOL Labor Condition Application disclosures. Filtering by these industries narrows your search to employers already familiar with the E-3 visa process.
Reframe your portfolio for U.S. content standards
Australian content work translates well, but U.S. hiring managers evaluate tone, SEO practice, and CMS familiarity against local benchmarks. Annotate portfolio pieces with audience context, publishing platform, and measurable outcomes before applying.
Get your LCA filed before resigning anything
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so your employer doesn't face DOL compliance gaps. The LCA must be certified before your consulate appointment, and delays here push back your entire start date.
Clarify the specialty occupation standard early
If a job posting says a degree is preferred rather than required, your E-3 application is at risk. Ask hiring managers to confirm in writing that a relevant bachelor's degree is a minimum requirement before accepting an offer.
Use your E-3 renewal window to change roles cleanly
Each E-3 renewal is a new application tied to a new LCA. If you're moving from one Content Developer role to a broader creative director position, USCIS will assess specialty occupation status fresh, so align your job title and duties with the degree requirement.
E-3 Visa Content Developer: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Content Developer jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lists Content Developer roles from employers who already understand E-3 sponsorship requirements, so you're not starting the education process from scratch with every recruiter. Filtering by visa type surfaces positions where the hiring team has confirmed sponsorship willingness, which significantly cuts down on wasted applications.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Content Developer role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3 purposes?
Yes, when the employer requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as communications, English, journalism, or digital marketing as a minimum condition of employment. The role fails the specialty occupation test if the employer accepts any degree regardless of field, or if the position is framed as general marketing coordination rather than a defined content discipline.
How does the E-3 compare to H-1B for Content Developers?
The E-3 has no annual lottery, no registration fee, and no cap backlog, meaning an Australian Content Developer with a qualifying offer can apply at a U.S. consulate and start work within weeks. The H-1B visa runs through an annual lottery with roughly 25 percent selection odds, delaying employment by up to 18 months even for approved candidates.
Can I switch from a Content Developer role to a Senior Content Strategist role on the same E-3?
No. A title change that materially alters your job duties or specialty occupation classification requires a new LCA filed with DOL and a new E-3 visa tied to that updated role description. You can continue working in your original position while the new application is processed, but you can't formally take on the new role until the new visa is issued.
