Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Partnership Development Manager
Frame your degree field precisely
E-3 visa approval depends on your degree matching the role. A business, marketing, or international relations degree supports a Partnership Development Manager petition, a degree in an unrelated field, even with years of experience, can invite scrutiny from the consular officer.
Target employers with existing LCA filing history
Employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications before understand the DOL process and won't treat E-3 sponsorship as an obstacle. Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to confirm a company has sponsored similar roles.
Position sponsorship as a legal process, not a risk
Many hiring managers assume E-3 sponsorship is complicated. In your outreach, clarify that the E-3 requires no lottery, no PERM labor certification, and no immigrant intent waiver, the employer files an LCA and you attend a consulate appointment.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA
Once you have an offer, the LCA and visa paperwork are the employer's biggest friction points. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage the entire process from LCA submission to consulate preparation, removing that burden from your new employer's HR team.
Negotiate your start date around consulate timelines
E-3 consulate appointments at Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth can take two to six weeks to schedule. Build that window into your start date negotiation so your employer isn't waiting on a delayed appointment slot before your first day.
Document partner-facing metrics in your application materials
Consular officers assess whether your role genuinely requires a specialty degree. Quantify your experience in partnership pipelines, alliance agreements, or co-sell programs, this demonstrates the analytical and strategic complexity that separates the role from general sales.
E-3 Visa Partnership Development Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Partnership Development Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Partnership Development Manager roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. Standard job boards don't filter by visa type, so you end up cold-applying and explaining the E-3 from scratch. Migrate Mate surfaces roles from employers already familiar with sponsoring Australian professionals.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Partnership Development Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, in most cases. The E-3 requires that the role normally requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. Partnership Development Manager positions typically require a degree in business, marketing, international relations, or a related discipline. If the job description lists a degree as preferred rather than required, ask your employer to revise the language before the LCA is filed with DOL.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Partnership Development Manager roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so an Australian professional can start the process immediately after receiving an offer. H-1B visa registration opens once a year in March, and selection is random, meaning a qualified candidate can wait 12 or more months before their petition is even considered. For Partnership Development Manager roles, the E-3 is a direct path with a predictable timeline.
Can I change employers after starting work on an E-3 in a partnership role?
Yes, but you can't transfer an E-3 like an H-1B portability scenario. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp before re-entering the U.S., or a new I-129 if you're changing status from inside the country. Plan for a two to four week gap between your last day and your new role's start date to account for processing.
