Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Data And Analytics
Frame your credentials for U.S. specialty occupation
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees in statistics, computer science, or a quantitative field are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees. Request an official transcript and have it ready to present alongside your offer letter before the LCA is filed.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway for certified LCA filings under data analyst, data scientist, and business intelligence job titles. Employers who have filed before understand the process and are far less likely to stall at the offer stage.
Clarify the specialty occupation link early
Data and analytics titles vary widely. Confirm with your prospective employer that the job description explicitly requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field like statistics, data science, or computer science, not just any degree. A vague requirement can complicate the LCA certification.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for LCA paperwork
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This avoids the common delay where employers unfamiliar with E-3 requirements spend weeks coordinating with outside counsel before filing.
Negotiate consulate preparation into your offer timeline
The E-3 is consulate-issued, so you'll attend a visa interview in Australia after your LCA is certified. Build at least three to four weeks of post-LCA preparation time into your agreed start date so your employer isn't caught off guard by the consulate step.
Understand the E-3 renewal cycle for contract roles
Analytics contractors and fixed-term employees can renew the E-3 indefinitely in two-year increments, but each renewal requires a current LCA tied to your active role. If your job title or employer changes before renewal, a new LCA must be filed before the old one expires.

Find Data And Analytics JobsData And Analytics E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find data and analytics jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Use Migrate Mate to search data and analytics roles filtered by E-3 visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with confirmed LCA filing history in data science, business intelligence, and analytics titles, so you're applying to companies already familiar with the E-3 process rather than educating hiring managers from scratch.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for data and analytics professionals?
Both visas require a specialty occupation and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, but the E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery. H-1B registrations are capped at 85,000 per year, and selection is random. Australian nationals in data and analytics roles can apply for an E-3 at any time of year, and approvals are consulate-issued, often within weeks of filing.
Does my analytics job title need to match the LCA exactly?
The LCA must reflect the actual role you'll perform, and the job title must correspond to a recognised Standard Occupational Classification code. Titles like Data Scientist, Business Intelligence Analyst, and Data Engineer each map to distinct SOC codes in the DOL system. Your employer should confirm the correct code before the LCA is submitted to avoid a certification delay.
Can I switch data and analytics employers after my E-3 is approved?
Yes, but the E-3 is employer-specific. When you change employers, your new company must file a fresh LCA before you start working for them. You'll also need a new visa if your current stamp lists the previous employer, which means returning to a U.S. consulate in Australia for a new interview. There's no portability provision equivalent to what exists for H-1B holders.
