Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Data Product Manager
Translate your Australian credentials for U.S. hiring managers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or business analytics satisfies the E-3 specialty occupation requirement. Frame your credential equivalency upfront in your resume so recruiters don't flag it as a gap.
Target companies with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for product or data management roles. Prior LCA filings signal that the employer already understands the E-3 sponsorship process.
Clarify the E-3 distinction early in interviews
Many U.S. hiring teams assume all visa sponsorship means H-1B lottery risk. Telling them the E-3 has no cap and no lottery, and that it can be filed after an offer without waiting for an annual cycle, often removes the hesitation before it becomes a rejection.
Negotiate LCA filing as part of your offer terms
The employer must file and certify your LCA with DOL before you can apply at the consulate. Confirm this step is in your offer timeline and that your start date allows at least two to three weeks for DOL certification before you book your consulate appointment.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage your LCA and consulate paperwork
Data product manager roles involve technical job duty descriptions that must align precisely with your degree field on the LCA. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles the LCA filing, DS-160, and consulate preparation so the documentation accurately reflects your role.
Prepare a specialty occupation brief for skeptical employers
Some employers worry a product manager role won't qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Prepare a one-page summary showing how your role requires a specific bachelor's degree field, drawing on the DOL O*NET classification for data or product management positions.

Find Data Product Manager JobsData Product Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Data Product Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface U.S. employers open to E-3 sponsorship for Australian professionals. Searching there filters out roles where sponsorship isn't on the table and focuses your effort on companies already familiar with the E-3 process for technical and product roles.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Data Product Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as computer science, information systems, data science, or business analytics. Roles where any degree field is accepted regardless of subject matter are harder to qualify, so your job offer should specify a degree requirement tied to the technical or analytical nature of the work.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Data Product Manager roles?
The H-1B requires entering an annual lottery with no guaranteed selection, which means a U.S. employer might wait a year or more before you can start. The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so once your employer files the LCA and you attend your consulate interview, you can start work within weeks of receiving a job offer.
Can I change employers while working in the U.S. on an E-3 as a Data Product Manager?
Yes, but you need a new LCA filed by the incoming employer and a new E-3 visa stamp before you can begin work for them. Unlike some other visa categories, E-3 status doesn't carry portability provisions, so plan your transition timeline to avoid a gap between your current role ending and your new employer's LCA being certified.
