Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Group Product Manager
Align your credentials to specialty occupation
Your degree must match the discipline your GPM role sits in, whether that's computer science, business, or engineering. A broad MBA without a product-adjacent undergraduate degree can create problems at the consulate, so gather transcripts and any credential evaluations early.
Target companies with active LCA filing history
Focus your search on employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for product management roles before. DOL's OFLC disclosure data shows which companies have sponsored product titles, saving you months pursuing employers who have never navigated the E-3 process.
Address the dual-intent question directly with employers
Unlike H-1B, the E-3 requires demonstrated nonimmigrant intent at every renewal. Raise this early with hiring managers so your employer understands what the consular officer will assess, and prepare a clear narrative about your ties to Australia.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your LCA
The Labor Condition Application must be certified by DOL before your consulate appointment. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so nothing stalls your start date while your employer focuses on onboarding.
Negotiate who manages the sponsorship process
Many U.S. tech companies will sponsor but expect you to coordinate the paperwork. Clarify in writing whether HR, an in-house legal team, or a third-party service will own the LCA submission, so nothing falls through the gap between offer acceptance and your consulate date.
Prepare a product-specific job duty letter
The E-3 requires the employer to document that your role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. A vague job description listing general management duties can trigger additional consular scrutiny, so request a detailed duty letter that maps your GPM responsibilities to your degree discipline.

Find Group Product Manager JobsGroup Product Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Group Product Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for E-3 visa sponsorship roles in the U.S. You can filter Group Product Manager positions by companies with confirmed sponsorship history, which cuts out the guesswork of cold-applying to employers who have never run an E-3 before. Standard job boards don't filter by visa type or sponsorship track record.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Group Product Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as computer science, engineering, or business administration. The consular officer will assess whether the duties genuinely require that level of education, so a well-drafted job offer letter that ties GPM responsibilities to a specific degree discipline is essential for a clean approval.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Group Product Manager roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no numerical cap, so you can apply as soon as you have a job offer and a certified LCA, at any point in the year. The H-1B requires registration in March with roughly a one-in-four selection chance. For Australians, the E-3 is a far more predictable path to a GPM role in the U.S.
Can I switch employers as a Group Product Manager on an E-3?
You can change employers, but your new company must file a fresh LCA with DOL and issue a new job offer letter before you start work. There is no portability provision equivalent to the H-1B's AC21 rule. If you leave a role, you have a 60-day grace period to secure a new employer's LCA and schedule a new consulate appointment before your status lapses.
