Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Field Operations Supervisor
Align your degree to the role
Field Operations Supervisor positions must meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard. Frame your engineering or operations management degree as directly required for the role, not just preferred. A weak degree-to-job match is the most common LCA stumbling block.
Target employers with active LCA history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for companies that have filed LCAs for operations or supervisory roles. Prior LCA filings signal an employer already understands the E-3 process and won't balk at sponsorship.
Address multi-site work in your offer letter
Field Operations Supervisors often oversee staff across multiple locations. The LCA must list a primary worksite, and working predominantly off-site can complicate DOL certification. Get your offer letter to specify a primary employer address before LCA filing begins.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service early
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork from the start. Early filing prevents gaps between your Australian notice period and your U.S. start date, which field operations roles often have strict onboarding timelines for.
Prepare a prevailing wage briefing for your employer
Many operations employers in manufacturing, logistics, or utilities haven't sponsored an E-3 before. Walk them through how the DOL prevailing wage determination works before they make you an offer, so compensation expectations are set correctly from the start.
Verify E-Verify enrollment before accepting the offer
Some field operations roles, particularly with federal contractors or in regulated industries, require E-Verify enrollment. Confirm your prospective employer is enrolled before signing anything, as non-enrolled employers cannot sponsor E-3 workers in those contexts.

Find Field Operations Supervisor JobsField Operations Supervisor E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Field Operations Supervisor jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals seeking U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. You can search Field Operations Supervisor positions by industry and location, and filter for employers who are open to the E-3 process. Unlike general job boards, results are focused on roles relevant to Australian candidates pursuing U.S. employment.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Field Operations Supervisor role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
It depends on how the role is structured. USCIS requires that the position normally require a bachelor's degree in a specific field as a minimum entry requirement. A supervisory operations role tied to engineering, supply chain, or industrial management typically qualifies. Roles where a degree is listed as preferred rather than required can face scrutiny, so the job description and LCA must be drafted carefully.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for this role?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so you can apply at any time of year if you have a qualifying offer. H-1B registrations open once a year in March, and selection is random. For Field Operations Supervisors with an Australian passport, the E-3 is a faster and more predictable path. Both visas require the same specialty occupation standard, but the E-3 timeline is entirely within your control.
Can I change employers or move to a new site on my E-3?
Changing employers requires a new LCA and a new visa application. Your E-3 is tied to the sponsoring employer, so you can't transfer it the way an H-1B can port under certain conditions. If your Field Operations role involves a reassignment to a different worksite in a new metropolitan statistical area, your employer may also need to file an amended LCA with DOL before that move occurs.
