Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Market Access Strategy
Frame your credentials for U.S. specialty occupation
DOL defines specialty occupation as requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Get your Australian three-year degree assessed by a NACES-accredited evaluator to confirm U.S. equivalency before applications go out.
Target pharma, biotech, and payer consultancies
Market access roles are concentrated at pharmaceutical manufacturers, managed care organizations, and health economics consultancies. These employers file LCAs regularly and have HR teams familiar with E-3 sponsorship requirements, shortening negotiation time considerably.
Search for E-3 sponsorship using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Market Access Strategy roles by employers with active E-3 or LCA filing history. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from offer to consulate appointment, so you're not coordinating paperwork solo.
Raise sponsorship before the offer stage
Bring up E-3 sponsorship during the second-round interview, not after the verbal offer. Employers stall when sponsorship surprises them at the finish line. A brief explanation that you're Australian, exempt from the H-1B lottery, and that the LCA process takes days, not months, removes most hesitation.
Confirm the LCA job category matches your actual duties
The DOL LCA must list a Standard Occupational Classification code that reflects your real responsibilities. For market access roles, misclassification as a generic business analyst rather than a health economist can create compliance problems at the consulate.
Track your I-94 admission period, not your visa stamp
Your E-3 visa stamp is a travel document. Your authorized stay is set by the I-94 admission period, typically two years. Start the renewal process at least 60 days before your I-94 expiry to avoid any gap in work authorization.

Find Market Access Strategy JobsMarket Access Strategy E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Market Access Strategy jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Market Access Strategy roles filtered by E-3 sponsorship. Most general job boards don't surface visa-specific filters, so you end up cold-applying to employers who have never sponsored an E-3. Migrate Mate surfaces roles at employers with documented sponsorship history, which cuts down the back-and-forth significantly.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Market Access Strategy role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as health economics, life sciences, pharmacy, or a related discipline. If the job description accepts any degree field or treats the degree as preferred rather than required, the specialty occupation argument weakens. A narrowly scoped role with specific degree requirements is straightforward to support at the consulate.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Market Access Strategy professionals?
The E-3 is only available to Australian citizens, but it has no lottery and no annual cap. H-1B requires registration in a lottery with roughly a one-in-four chance of selection in recent years. For an Australian in market access, the E-3 means a qualified job offer translates directly into a visa application without the lottery risk. Renewals are also indefinite, unlike the H-1B's six-year standard limit.
Can I switch employers mid-visa period if I'm on an E-3 in a market access role?
Yes, but the new employer must file a new LCA before you start work. There's no portability rule for the E-3 the way AC21 works for H-1B holders. You'll need your new employer to complete the LCA process and, in most cases, you'll attend a new consulate appointment for a fresh visa stamp unless you're changing status inside the U.S.
