Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Pr Specialist
Frame your Australian PR credentials precisely
A three-year Australian communications or PR degree satisfies the E-3 bachelor's degree requirement. Get your academic transcripts ready and, if your degree title differs from U.S. norms, obtain a credential evaluation confirming equivalency before applying.
Target agencies with active LCA filing histories
PR agencies and in-house communications teams that have previously filed Labor Condition Applications are already familiar with E-3 sponsorship. Use DOL's FLAG portal to identify employers with recent LCA filings under PR and communications job titles.
Search E-3 sponsorship roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork once you have an offer. The platform filters roles by visa sponsorship type, so you're only seeing employers already open to Australian applicants.
Clarify specialty occupation status with your employer
Some PR roles, particularly generalist communications coordinator positions, can face scrutiny if the job posting says 'bachelor's preferred' rather than 'required.' Confirm with your prospective employer that the role description specifically requires a PR or communications degree before the LCA is filed.
Time your offer acceptance around LCA processing
Your employer must file the LCA with DOL before your consulate appointment can proceed. Standard DOL certification runs around seven business days. Factor this into your start date negotiation so your consulate scheduling isn't delayed.
Prepare a portfolio that ties work to degree field
Consular officers assess whether your role genuinely requires your specific degree. Bring campaign samples, strategy documents, or media coverage that demonstrates your PR work is degree-dependent, not just generalist marketing or administrative support.

Find Pr Specialist JobsPr Specialist E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find PR Specialist jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals seeking E-3 sponsorship and filters PR Specialist roles by employers already open to the E-3 visa. This saves you from approaching companies unfamiliar with the process. You can search by role, location, and industry without wading through listings that won't support Australian applicants.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a PR Specialist role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires at least a bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a closely related field. Roles that accept any degree or where degree requirements are loosely defined can be harder to qualify. The stronger the alignment between the job description and your PR-specific degree, the cleaner the case for specialty occupation status.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for PR Specialists?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual cap that has never been filled, so there's no lottery and no waiting for a random selection. H-1B registration now involves a lottery with roughly 25% selection odds. For an Australian PR Specialist, the E-3 means you can start the process immediately after receiving a job offer rather than waiting up to a year for a lottery result.
Can I change PR employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp before re-entering the U.S. if you travel abroad. Changing jobs without leaving the country is possible if your new employer's LCA is certified and you remain in valid E-3 status throughout the transition. There's no portability rule like the one that exists under AC21 for H-1B holders.
