Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Radiation Therapy Technologist
Verify your ARRT eligibility before applying
U.S. employers expect ARRT certification or active eligibility. Your Australian qualifications and AHPRA registration won't substitute directly, so confirm your degree meets ARRT primary eligibility requirements before you start the job search.
Target NCI-designated cancer centers first
National Cancer Institute-designated centers and large academic medical systems have established immigration workflows and HR teams familiar with E-3 sponsorship. Smaller community hospitals often lack the infrastructure to file an LCA confidently.
Ask employers about LCA filing timelines upfront
The LCA must be certified by DOL before your consulate appointment can proceed. When you receive an offer, ask specifically whether your employer has filed LCAs before and how quickly their HR team can move, since delays here push back your start date.
Search for open roles using Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate surfaces Radiation Therapy Technologist positions from employers with active E-3 and H-1B filing history, so you're targeting workplaces that have already navigated visa sponsorship rather than educating HR from scratch.
Clarify prevailing wage compliance with your offer letter
DOL requires your offered wage to meet or exceed the prevailing wage for your SOC code in the specific metropolitan area. Review the wage level in your offer letter against the DOL OFLC wage library before signing, since underpayment invalidates the LCA.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the full process
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA submission, visa paperwork, and consulate preparation. This matters most if your employer hasn't sponsored an E-3 before and needs guided support to file correctly.

Find Radiation Therapy Technologist JobsRadiation Therapy Technologist E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Radiation Therapy Technologist jobs with E-3 sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search. It filters roles by employers with documented visa filing history, so you're only looking at workplaces that have sponsored E-3 or H-1B workers before. Radiation therapy is a specialized clinical field, and not every hospital HR team knows how to file an LCA, so targeting employers with prior sponsorship experience saves significant time.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Radiation Therapy Technologist role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3 purposes?
Yes. Radiation therapy requires a bachelor's degree in radiation therapy or a closely related clinical field as a standard entry requirement, which satisfies the specialty occupation definition. USCIS and DOL both recognize radiation therapy as a professional field where a specific degree is the industry norm, not just a preference listed in a job posting.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Australian radiation therapists?
The E-3 is significantly more practical for Australians. There's no annual lottery, no cap to exhaust, and you can apply directly at the U.S. consulate in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth after your employer files the LCA with DOL. The H-1B requires lottery registration each April, with selection rates that have made it unreliable for most applicants. The E-3 renews in two-year increments indefinitely.
Can I work at multiple hospital sites on a single E-3 visa?
Not automatically. Your LCA is tied to a specific employer and work location. If your role involves rotating across multiple sites within the same health system, your employer needs to list all locations on the LCA or file amended LCAs. Working at a genuinely separate facility, such as a different legal entity, requires a new LCA and a new visa application or amended status.
