As part of a broader team, you collaborate with other technical program managers to ensure that work in your space aligns with work and plans of other teams across BDT and other organizations. You establish mechanisms for inspection and awareness of progress across cross cutting initiatives.
Data drives your “flywheel”. You analyze data to glean insights that drive experimentation. You leverage data such as service telemetry, user feedback, and industry trends to surface opportunities for improvement. You take what’s proven and partner with Amazon organizations to apply and scale it. You define, implement, and monitor metrics that track your progress.
You partner with Amazon’s business orgs to test hypotheses and deploy AI-based solutions to reduce friction and risk of errors in the ways that businesses use data.
You give feedback on narratives, contribute to strategy (e.g., OP1 planning), set goals, discuss weekly business metrics, and more.
You partner with Amazon’s PXT organization to evolve and optimize roles guidelines and org design best practices to align with the way businesses are evolving their practices around getting insights from their data.
You partner with engineering, human resources, legal, documentation, solution architecture, privacy, finance, and more to optimize usage of the Andes data lake for AI-based methodologies.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Patient Care Manager
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees in nursing or health administration are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees, but have your credentials evaluated by a NACES-member agency before you apply. Employers need documented equivalency to support your LCA filing.
Target health systems with existing E-3 history
Search DOL's Labor Condition Application disclosure data to identify hospital networks and managed care organizations that have filed E-3 visa LCAs for management-level clinical roles. Prior filing history signals an employer already understands the sponsorship process.
Frame your application around staffing leadership
Patient Care Manager roles must meet the specialty occupation standard, so your resume and cover letter should emphasize degree-required responsibilities: budget oversight, clinical quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Generic nursing experience without management framing weakens the specialty occupation argument.
Negotiate LCA filing before your start date
The DOL must certify your LCA before you can attend your consulate appointment, so align your proposed start date with that timeline. Confirm with your employer that they'll file through the FLAG portal at least three weeks before your interview is scheduled.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the full process
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA submission, visa paperwork, and consulate preparation. This keeps the process on track and reduces the risk of delays from incomplete employer documentation.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions at your interview
Consular officers assess whether you intend to return to Australia after each E-3 period. For Patient Care Manager candidates, strong answers reference your Australian professional registration, property ties, or a defined career objective that brings your U.S. experience back home.
E-3 Visa Patient Care Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Patient Care Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Search Migrate Mate to find Patient Care Manager roles with employers who have active E-3 sponsorship history. Most general job boards don't filter by visa type, so you can spend weeks applying to roles where sponsorship was never an option. Migrate Mate surfaces positions specifically matched to E-3 eligibility, saving you that filtering work upfront.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Patient Care Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as nursing, health services administration, or healthcare management. Roles that list a degree as preferred rather than required are a risk. Your employer's job description must tie the duties directly to that degree requirement, and the LCA filed with DOL needs to reflect that specificity.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Patient Care Manager roles?
The E-3 has a significant structural advantage for Australians: there's no lottery and no annual cap backlog. H-1B visa registrations are selected by random lottery with roughly a one-in-four chance of selection in recent years, meaning a qualified candidate with a firm offer may still wait years. The E-3 lets you move directly from offer to LCA filing to consulate appointment without that uncertainty.
Can I transfer to a new employer mid-status on an E-3 as a Patient Care Manager?
Yes, but the E-3 does not have H-1B portability. You cannot start work for a new employer until the new LCA is certified by DOL and, in most cases, until you've obtained a new E-3 visa stamp at a consulate. Plan for a gap between roles and confirm your new employer's timeline before giving notice at your current position.
