E-3 Visa Radiation Therapist Jobs
Radiation Therapist roles in the United States qualify as specialty occupations under the E-3 visa, which means Australian-trained radiation therapists can pursue sponsorship without competing in a lottery. Your three-year Australian bachelor's degree meets the degree equivalency standard, and the E-3 renews indefinitely as long as you hold a qualifying position.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Radiation Therapist
Verify your ARRT eligibility before applying
Most U.S. radiation oncology departments require ARRT certification or eligibility before they'll extend an offer. Confirm your Australian qualifications map to ARRT's foreign-educated pathway so employers don't stall on credential review mid-hiring process.
Target hospital systems with active E-3 hiring
Academic medical centers and large health systems in states like California, Texas, and New York have HR teams familiar with E-3 sponsorship. Filter your search on Migrate Mate to find Radiation Therapist roles at employers with confirmed E-3 filing history.
Request LCA filing before your start date
Your employer must file and receive DOL certification of the Labor Condition Application before you can attend your consulate appointment. Ask the hiring manager to initiate LCA filing as soon as your offer letter is signed, not after onboarding paperwork begins.
Clarify your state radiation therapy license timeline
Every U.S. state licenses radiation therapists separately, and some require ARRT certification before issuing a license. Confirm with your prospective employer which state license they need and whether they'll allow conditional employment while your application processes.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end support
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages your LCA submission, visa paperwork, and consulate preparation so nothing stalls between offer and start date. This matters most when your employer's HR team has never sponsored an E-3 before.
Address specialty occupation clearly in your offer letter
Consular officers must confirm your Radiation Therapist role meets the specialty occupation definition. Ask your employer to specify the degree requirement for the position in the offer letter, referencing the clinical and technical responsibilities that necessitate a bachelor's degree in radiation therapy or a related field.

Find Radiation Therapist JobsRadiation Therapist E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Radiation Therapist jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. You can filter Radiation Therapist positions by employers who have previously sponsored E-3 visas, which removes the guesswork of cold-contacting HR teams unfamiliar with the visa. Standard job boards don't filter by visa type or sponsorship history.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Radiation Therapist role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes. Radiation therapy requires a bachelor's degree in radiation therapy or a closely related field, which satisfies the specialty occupation standard. USCIS and consular officers look for roles where the degree is a minimum requirement, not merely preferred. Your job offer and any supporting documentation should clearly state the degree requirement for the specific position.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Radiation Therapist roles?
The E-3 is available only to Australian nationals, but it has a significant structural advantage: there's no lottery. The H-1B is subject to an annual cap and a random selection process, meaning qualified applicants can be excluded through no fault of their own. The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been exhausted, so a qualifying offer effectively guarantees access to the visa.
Can I switch radiation therapy employers while on an E-3?
You can change employers, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need to either obtain a new E-3 visa stamp at a consulate or, if you're already in the United States, request a change of status. You can begin working for the new employer once the new LCA is certified and a new visa petition or status change is approved.
