ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION: Performs any combination of following duties to assist Pharmacist in hospital pharmacy or retail establishment: mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tables and capsules, and types labels for bottles. Assists Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication. Receives and stores incoming supplies. Counts stock and enters data in compute to maintain inventory records. Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to hospital patient, compute charges, and enters data in computer. Prepares IV (intravenous) packs, using sterile technique, under supervision of hospital pharmacist. Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods. Types and files reports, and completes formed as directed. Assists in stocking shelves, checking prices and maintaining inventory. Higher level technicians may have the following additional duties: May work closely with drug wholesalers and directly with manufacturers to ensure the uninterrupted provision of medications for our patients and ensure the Robot completes the daily assignments on time and with accuracy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrates competence in own area, and is proficient in specific area of discipline. Typically works with moderate guidance in area of knowledge. Full application of standard policies and procedures. May still be acquiring higher skill level, and gaining exposure to more complex tasks within job function. Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope. Job requires judgment within defined practices and procedures. Works under normal supervision. Follows established procedures. Detailed instructions given for new assignments. Work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy.

$16.61 - $27.69
