Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Registered Nurse Case Manager
Verify your NCLEX and state licensure early
U.S. employers won't file an LCA without proof of active RN licensure in the state where you'll work. Start the endorsement or NCLEX-RN process before your job search so licensure delays don't stall a ready offer.
Target employers who use case managers across settings
Health systems, managed care organizations, and workers' compensation insurers all employ RN case managers and file E-3 paperwork regularly. Filtering by employer type narrows your search to organizations already structured for visa sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to search E-3 sponsoring employers
Migrate Mate aggregates employers with active E-3 sponsorship history for nursing and case management roles. Search by role title and state to find health systems and insurers that have hired Australian RNs before, then apply directly.
Clarify case management certification requirements upfront
Many employers prefer or require a CCM or ACM credential for case manager roles. Confirm whether certification is required before the offer or can follow hire, so your E-3 specialty occupation evidence aligns with the actual job duties described in the LCA.
Ask your employer to file the LCA before resignation
DOL certifies the Labor Condition Application, which must be approved before your visa application. Confirm your employer has submitted it to the DOL's FLAG portal and received certification before you give notice at your current role in Australia.
Let Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handle your paperwork
Once you have a signed offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages LCA preparation, DS-160 completion, and consulate appointment documentation end-to-end, reducing the risk of errors that delay your start date with the employer.

Find Registered Nurse Case Manager JobsRegistered Nurse Case Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Registered Nurse Case Manager jobs with E-3 sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended starting point. It surfaces employers with a history of E-3 sponsorship for nursing and case management roles, letting you filter by state and role type. Health systems with large discharge planning teams, insurance utilization review departments, and workers' compensation case management firms are the most active sponsors for this title.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Registered Nurse Case Manager role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position requires a BSN or higher as a minimum entry requirement, not just as preferred. Case manager roles that list a general bachelor's degree as acceptable, regardless of field, can create specialty occupation problems at the consulate. Confirm the job description requires a nursing degree specifically, and have your employer document that requirement in the LCA job duties.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Australian RN case managers?
The E-3 has a 10,500-slot annual allocation that has never been filled, meaning no lottery and year-round availability. The H-1B requires lottery selection, caps out at 85,000 slots, and registers only once per year in March. For Australian citizens, the E-3 is a faster, more reliable path. Both require employer sponsorship and an LCA filed with the DOL.
Can I change employers on an E-3 if my first case manager role doesn't work out?
Yes, but each employer change requires a new E-3 visa. Your current visa is tied to the sponsoring employer, so if you leave, you'll need a new LCA and a new consulate appointment for the next role. There's no portability mechanism like AC21 under the E-3. Plan your transition timeline to avoid gaps in authorized work status.
