INTRODUCTION
We are seeking a group of Tech Recruiters and Corporate Recruiting Generalists to provide expert insight as part of a project for our AI Marketplace. This is not a full-time employment position - you will be engaged as a project participant on a contract basis.
Location: U.S.-based experts only
Engagement: One-time, project-based interview
Work Type: Remote
This project is designed to capture structured, high-quality insight from experienced recruiting professionals through a one-time, ~30-minute recorded AI-led video interview. Participants will be asked to explain in detail how they perform their job across the hiring lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interview calibration, and offer decision-making. The interview is designed to elicit step-by-step explanations of real workflows and decision-making processes, with an emphasis on detailed, experience-based responses rather than high-level summaries. This is a project-based engagement. Selected participants will be paid for completing a recorded AI-led video interview; hourly rates are estimates based upon anticipated time of completion. Participants will control their own schedule, provide their own tools to complete the interview, and may participate in other opportunities as they choose. Once you complete the interview, we’ll send your video recording and transcript, along with AI-generated insights, to the internal research team and AI lab partner. This data will be used to generate a structured list of tasks associated with your profession and for AI model improvement.
Responsibilities:

- Provide detailed, step-by-step explanations of recruiting workflows across the hiring lifecycle
- Respond to AI-led interview questions with depth, clarity, and real-world examples

Frame your credentials around specialty occupation
Your degree in human resources, psychology, or business must demonstrably connect to the Recruitment Consultant role. U.S. employers use the DOL's specialty occupation standard to file your LCA, so mismatched credentials are the most common E-3 stumbling block for this title.
Target firms with dedicated in-house legal teams
Staffing agencies and RPO providers that employ HR and legal staff in-house process E-3 paperwork faster than those outsourcing it. Look for U.S. operations of Australian recruitment firms, where staff already understand the E-3 and won't need educating.
Prepare a specialty occupation letter before applying
Draft a one-page document explaining why your Recruitment Consultant role requires a specific bachelor's degree, not just any degree. Having this ready speeds up employer commitment and gives hiring managers a tool to brief their legal team from day one.
Handle your LCA and consulate prep through Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service
Once you have an offer, your employer files the LCA with the DOL before your visa application can proceed. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from offer to consulate appointment, removing delays that often stall first-time E-3 sponsors.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Most U.S. recruitment firms are open to E-3 sponsorship but don't advertise it. Migrate Mate surfaces Recruitment Consultant roles from employers with active E-3 and visa sponsorship history, so you're applying to companies already set up to hire Australians.
Clarify your E-3 status before contract negotiation
E-3 status is tied to your specific employer and role title. If your offer letter describes you as a 'Talent Advisor' but your LCA lists 'Recruitment Consultant,' USCIS can flag the mismatch. Confirm the job title on the offer matches what your employer intends to file exactly.

Find Recruitment Consultant JobsRecruitment Consultant E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Recruitment Consultant jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Most U.S. recruitment firms won't list E-3 sponsorship explicitly in job ads, which makes targeted searching essential. Migrate Mate filters Recruitment Consultant roles by employers with demonstrated visa sponsorship history, so you're not cold-applying to companies that will decline at the offer stage. Start your search there before approaching firms directly.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Recruitment Consultant role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3?
It can, but it isn't automatic. USCIS expects the role to require a specific bachelor's degree, not just any degree. Recruitment Consultant positions tied to technical industries, executive search, or specialised HR functions are stronger candidates than generalist agency roles. Your degree field matters, and your employer's job description needs to reflect that requirement clearly.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Recruitment Consultants?
The E-3 has no lottery, no annual cap, and can be renewed indefinitely in two-year increments, so you're not competing against 400,000+ applicants for a random slot. H-1B requires employer sponsorship through a lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is a direct path that doesn't depend on luck or timing.
Can I switch recruitment firms while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but your E-3 status is employer-specific. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new visa stamp before re-entering the U.S., or you can change employers while inside the country using a change of status. You cannot simply transfer your existing E-3 the way some other visa categories allow.
